Pirates' League for All

The kids really want to be a band of pirates for MNSSHP. I've been thinking about booking Pirates League for the whole fam since adults are welcome...at least that's what the site says. I know the kids will enjoy it, but has anyone done it as a family and have some feedback?

I haven't done it myself, however a family we were seated next to during the MNSSHP parade did it (Father, Mother, 2 daughters, one son) and they told us for the price they would do it again for the kids, but not for the adults. They were having a fantastic time acting in character though. The father/son were pirates and the mother/daughters had opted for the mermaid make-over. The only thing is while the children were all decked out, it seemed only minimal attention was given to the adults. (It could be based on which package they opted for though, I didn't ask)

I did it with my (then) 3.5 year old son. Had a blast and got some really cute pictures of us together. My make up artist (I forget what they are called) was cool to interact with and I think he enjoyed having an adult.

Sooooo torn! Well, tomorrow is my 180, so I guess I might as well book it early and have it secured since I'm sure spots will fill up fast on an MNSSHP night (at least what I assume will be). I guess it will also be like BBB where I have to pick a package for each person at booking time.

Our family did this back in 2010, my 50 year old father, my husband and 2 brother in laws as well as my 6 year old nephew. It was the highlight of the trip for my father. We live on the ocean and my brother in law is a lobster men so we are big "pirate" fans. Is it an every trip type of event maybe not but pair it up with the Halloween party then I would say defiantly a must do.

My son did it last year and went for the skeleton pirate package. He had a blast and loads of attention was thrown his way. It was very well done and so convincing that an Indian family thought he was a park character and asked for photos.
