do you think it's worth it or would you AAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGG-ue the price?

I think the prices are fine. BBB was alittle much but to see my daughters face was worth the 200 we paid. Now PL we only paid half price and I think it was around 30 for everything outfit included. It was totally worth it. :) MY little man made an awesome pirate

We did both in 2011, and both the kid and her then 10 year old uncle loved their respective makeovers!

Both are pricy, but Pirates League is a far better value between the two. However, the experience for both (I got to take Uncle to his Pirates League while Mom took Kiddo to BBB) was worth every penny.

The whole walk back to meet up with the girls, the Uncle kept getting compliments from random guests and Cast Members. He's rather overweight, and gets picked on a lot at school, so he's normally quiet and shy. It was very nice to see him smile and be so interactive with people. Brought a huge smile to my face.

We followed up our makeovers with dinner at CRT. It was our last full night there...

Awe I bet he had a great time. My justin kept having teen girls wink at him in line. He was 9 at the time. He was all amoles. He wore that custome like evryday we were there. He loved it so much. We actually still have both of the kids outfits put away. Im thinking on doing PL for both this yr though they are older. Ashley is 13 and justin 12. :( but still love to do things like this :)

I'm debating with myself whether I'm going to do PL or BBB this year with this kid. We are doing a cruise on the Fantasy and 10 days (well, 11 if you include the first day before the cruise) at WDW...and we may both be subtle for Pirate Night...or we may go all out. I'm still deciding which way *I* want to go! <grin>

Every year the kid gets to pick out a dress, but normally we don't go all out and do BBB, just did that in 2011. The dress is fun because she loves to play dress up, and it also functions as her halloween costume (we go in August, so she doesn't grow out of it by Oct!).

She has a blast at Tinks, and loves it there, but the BBB experience was something she still talks about if you ask her about Disney.

Do you call your daughter "the kidd" and your son "the uncle" ?

Of course, you should know by now, I have a video (skip to 3:17+ to see her uncle) He's the guy in the green shirt and pink hat.

The story behind my ex and the Uncle coming on that trip was that, after I took the kid in 2010, he was upset (felt left out).

In addition, his grades were suffering (probably due to being teased, cause he's not a dumb boy)...so I made a deal with him. If he got a straight A average for the following school year, I'd take him with us to Disney.

What do you know, the uncle did it! If fact, he overdid it. He even placed 1st in his school science fair, and 3rd in the regional science fair.

My ex came along for the trip too (her and the uncle stayed in a different room) just to help me deal with two kids in the parks (it was also her first trip to Disney...long story)...

One of my favorite parts of visiting WDW is making my kids fun outfits to wear during the trip. It makes it extra special for them. I try to make things that are fun AND comfortable. Just finished a prirate princess outfit for my DD :)) signed up to try out Pirates League), and made a duplicate to sell if anyone is interested, it's on ebay. (size 7-9) search for "Pirate Princess Dress Perfect for Disney Trip"

DD4 has done BBB twice and did PL for the 1st time in Dec (mermaid makeover). She liked both equally. Anything that allows her to wear makeup she loves. DH and I like PL a little bit better because it's a little less "stuffy." We feel like we can't talk loud or take a lot of pictures at BBB because it's a little fancier. DH and FIL decided to get pirate makeovers as well. They were also more accommodating for DD2 who was obviously not old enough to do it. Though BBB was very nice to her, the gal at PL gave her her own necklace and barrette as well as the sash, and the photog allowed her to have her picture taken at the end as well. We used DD4's makeup to put some on her so she could be a mermaid, too. I was willing to pay for it but they let her have it. I was very pleased.
