Pirate and Princess Party

We have purchased our tickets for the P & PP in January 2008. Anyone been to this and what can we expect? We are baby boomers, young at heart, and plan to wear costumes. Tell me this is a good idea!

First of all - welcome!

As far as the party goes, my DH and I are boomers too and we went to the party last year. Some people dress up, some do not, but it's still a lot of fun. They have dance parties going on, lots of characters, free candy and beads, and virtually no lines on most of the rides. The fireworks are totally amazing, and the parade is fun too. You'll love it! Arrgh!

DH and I went to this in August and had alot of fun being able to ride all of the rides with no wait. However, we missed alot of the parade and fireworks so when DD and I go again on Jan. 21st we will be watching more of the shows. We wore pirate t-shirts and pirate hats but there are quite a few who really get dressed up for this event. You will love it.

It is a fun experience that you will enjoy, I can assure you that!


You will enjoy the atmosphere and the scenery and the people you see dressing up around you (which there will be, so do not think you're alone). Expect good amounts of candy, special characters walking around, a pretty swank parade, and one of my most favorite fireworks shows that I've seen at the Kingdom.

So far I've been twice since they started it, and not one party was I ever let down at. It really is something, you'll like it.

We were in DIsney for 2 weeks in AUgust and pre-purchased tickets for a Tuesday night. We had such a ball, we bought tickets for the next Tuesday also! Costumes are a great idea....lots of people wearing them! We had a ball walking around to fill our "Booty Bags"! Walking right on the rides was definately a HUGE plus!!!
Have fun! We'll be there in January too! Hope its warm!!!

Oh yeah, you can feel totally comfortable with whatever level of dressing up you want to do. You will see people with regular clothes and you will see people (adults) decked out to the 9's in professional looking pirate outfits as well as full princess garb. Most just do a little something, like a tiara or a pirate hat. But, hey, go for it!!!:animwink:
