Pinned offer question

I just got a pinned offer on my e-mail and I have a question.

The offer states a 25% discount of Value Resorts for arrivals from 01-02-11 to 4-16-11. I already have a reservation (Pop Century) starting on 12-29-10 through 01-09-11 and the trip is already paid for. Can I call Disney and ask for this offer even though my trip is already paid for? How would they deal with the discount?

Any advice/help you guys can give me will be very much appreciated.

Absolutely! This is my favorite thing about booking with Disney. They will apply any pinned code to your current reservation, and refund you the difference. The only limitation is that you cannot have two pinned codes on the same reservation. You have to pick which one you want to apply. In the past, we booked under free dining, then used a pinned code for 40% off the deluxe resort when we got it because the total price was cheaper. This was last year, so they could have changed it, but this is my favorite thing about Disney Reservations.

Is something wrong with WDW booking phone #'s? I keep getting a "welcome to the Wa" and then it stops and nothing happens.

I haven't been able to get through and get my discounts.

I'm not quite sure how this will work for you and I'm sure there are others on here who have a better understanding of the technicalities involved. You stated the offer is for arrivals starting on 01/02/11, but you arrive on 12/29/10...that's a full four days that the offer is not valid, unless you plan on changing your dates or something. I know you can take advantage of offers as long as your arrival date falls within the window, but I'm not so sure they will back it up if you are arriving before the offer is officially valid. Just sayin...

Just keep your current reservation and only have it go through 1/2 then make a new reservation with the pin code until 1/9
I have done this before and they were able to move my excess money over to the new reservation
worth a try to get the discount for at least some of the dates
