Pin Trading

Just 5 more days till DL!!
I was going through my Disney pin collection, and came across a 2003 Cast Exclusive pin. My mom thinks that trading Cast Exclusive pins meant that you could get two pins for that one. Was/is that true?

Just a bit of warning.... "Pin Trading" at Disneyland isn't nearly what it is at WDW. On Sunday you'll be able to find some traders, especially around the Plaza Pavilion. But the other 6 days of the week pin traders are very rare, and compared to WDW very few CM's wear lanyards.

Disneyland is a different type of experience from WDW, and the lack of pin trading is just one of many differences.

i doubt it, go to the pin trading website, basically it says a pin for a pin.

Pin trading is big at DL as well as at WDW. WDW is obviously bigger, so there are many more CMs and places to trade. You will find many CMs to trade with.

I don't think they do, or they would have sold them at the park. I never saw any being sold.

Sorry- no can do. All of our bags are stuffed already! I don't know how we're going to get souvenouirs (<--sp?) home!

I know that is the feeling with the cast but Disneyland actually has more local, die-hard traders (as you could call them) than WDW.

As far as the pin that you have goes it depends on a couple of things. First, the popularity of the pin (ie, characters, LE, how exclusive it really was/is, etc.) and second if you can find someone who wants to trade for it. Given that it is a cast pin you will probably be able to get more of a trade out of it than something else, but two pins for one-- maybe. It all depends on the factors and pin traders. I have done multiple pin trades for one just to get smaller, old rack Piglet pins before so I know it is done. Best of luck trading and enjoy Disneyland!

I am in Califonia right now!

I was in Disneyland on Friday, and I saw exactly 1 CM with a pin lanyard, but I didn't get to trade with her because I was at the station of BTMRR waiting departure. On Thursday when I was at DCA, I saw many more CMs with pin lanyards.
Disneyland and DCA are so much less crowded than any of the WDW parks. Overall, I love both parks. Soarin' is so awesome!
