We are set to take our first Disney cruise in March on the Dream. Two of my children really enjoy trading pins. For the DCL veterans out there, are there cast members aboard that trade pins (like they do in the parks and around the resorts at WDW)? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

There sure are! A lot of the cast members in the shops have lanyards on to trade. There will also be some designated times for pin trading listed in your Personal Navigator.

Sometimes the trading times are cancelled if virus risk is high but that's rare.

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

DO NOT START COLLECTING PINS!!! There is no off-switch! A couple of harmless pins for your kid turns into 650 pins and hours spent scouring the internet for trades because you can't find the last pin in the set of Passholder pins from 2003!! Add to that the anxiety of not being able to be in the parks to get this year's Holidays Around the World pins, and it's a nightmare!! A nightmare, I tell you!! Save yourself while you can!!

Pins i get...... Vinylmation not so much....

Vinylmations are adorable!

Plus they appeal to kids because you don't know what you're going to get! You pick out that box hoping it's the rare one, or one that completes your collection.

If it's not, you can trade them!:)

Have you seen the big ones covered in autographs? People are dropping them off at guest services instead of t-shirts, pillowcases, or some of the normal things. They are awesome looking when they're done!

That idea is one i read recently and def one im thinkin of for next year

Who says you have to choose between pins & Vinylmations. My family is mad over both. The kids even put the Vinylmations in our Christmas village.

If they have it, make sure to attend the pin trading with the ship's officers. It was lots of fun getting to interact with them.

Or, if your my kids, you try and convince me to buy the entire unopened flat, because then you are assured of getting one of each.

 Did you fall for that?

When I was at Disneyland last week they had just gotten a shipment of the Star Wars Vinylmations. They had three large stacks of unopened flats because they said so many Star Wars fans buy them that way. They didn't expect to have them longer than a couple of days.
