Pin Code!

We seem to be on the list to get them frequently. I'm pretty sure we get at least one a year, sometimes multiple offers per year. My wife and I both got one via snail mail a couple of months ago. The exact same mailing, the exact same address, but one to her and one to me.

She didn't do anything special to get it. But I do go out there often and plan a fake trip, just checking things out and save it to my account.

We used to get them every year when we would plan trips out but never book. Once we booked, we never got another. My mother got one last year (hadn't been in 16 years) by snail mail, we were able to use her pin code for free dining at FQ.

I stalk my emails frequently hoping to get one again lol

I called and talked to a lady yesterday at WDW. I was checking to see if my email had any codes attached to it. She said it didn't but mentioned that if any family members get one then i code latch on with them. Found that interesting.

I have been to Disney more than my wife. I have never gotten a pin code before, but my wife gets them all the time! We booked for May around Xmas time with a pin code, and received 2 pin codes since then. It's really random hoe they pick and choose who gets them...

It really depends on who you talk to. I get email pin codes frequently for my brother-in-law, who went with us once and has no intention of returning. I have been told that in order to use the pin code he must be on the reservation.

Yeah, i probably matters who you talk to. When she said I could use theirs, I asked again and also asked if this would complicate things such as magicbands and such and she said just call after my cousin get her reservation and they would apply to ours which seems really odd.

When I called, I didn't even mention it was mother's pin. I gave them the pin code and address. They put me on hold and said they would have to link it to my account and then apply it to my current reservation.
And they did. Never even questioned that it was under my mother's name and address. Unless they had us somehow linked from our Disney cruises back in the 90s! When I was about 8 years old LOL.
Even after we applied it, when I would try to check for different rooms under the code online, I had to use my mothers name and address still. I even switched hotels twice under the code and was never given any problems.

It could be based on who you talk to you but at least you know, it can indeed be done.

yeah. I got one to my work email?! I called and had to sit on hold a few times to see if I could use. I have ZERO idea why or how they got my work email.
