Someone recently asked for holiday crowd pics including from years past. I'd specifically like to see some from each of the Parks THIS weekend as I am trying g to decide whether to go this same weekend next year. Anyone there right now that can post? (Or can you post when you return?) Thanks!

I'm heading to Epcot in about 10 minutes. I can get some pictures and post them later if needed.

On Christmas day, I'll always stick to one rule for MK: "Christmas day, stay away". Epcot wasn't terrible last time I did this 4 years ago.

Minor update: traffic to MK is bad as expected. Traffic to Epcot is fine, maybe even less than normal.

These pictures are from 10am to 1130am today. The wait times are pretty rough, but walking around FW isn't bad. Going to WS after I'm done with lunch at the Land.

Again, MK is a park I completely avoid due to how "small" it is. Epcot is going to be much easier to navigate today.

Edit: @JillC LI , sorry for hijacking your thread!

Woah-how long was that Spaceship Earth line in minutes?

It was 30 at that time I think. Seas is at 15, Imagination is at 35, TT was 2 hours, and M:S was 10 for green and 30 for orange. Overall, nothing crazy honestly. MK is getting hit way worse in terms of wait times.

Thank you for the pics! These don't seem awful. I'm considering WDW next year on 12/21, 22, 23, 24. We'd hit MK on the earliest day probably knowing the crowds there will be the worst as it gets closer to Xmas. We always arrive well before rope drop too.

I'll be honest, MK wasn't as bad as I expected. I remember more closures throughout the day in past years but that could be me. Still, it will be rough over there. I was there on the 22nd and it was getting bad but I only stayed from 10 to 2. This years trip was the 21st and leaving the 27nd. MK was rough, Epcot was pretty good, AK was roughish thanks to Avatar land (get a FP for FoP!!!!!), going to DHS tomorrow for sure and maybe Epcot again.

Check Google maps also. I'll post a screenshot of traffic from 943am today. Traffic was backed up far but not as far as I remember 4 years ago. Prepare and try to stay somewhere within the MK resort area. I'm at WL as you can tell from the blue dot.

I'm sure others will have way more helpful advice than I do.

Thank you. I really appreciate this info. If you have a moment, please let me know what you thought of the crowds at DHS today. If we go, we would stay in the Boardwalk area so we could walk to EP and DHS. We'd bus it to MK and maybe uber to AK, but as I said, we'd go before 7am to be there for rope drop so hopefully traffic wouldn't be too bad. If we hit all rope drops to do a few rides with standby lines, then use FP+s midday, then have dinner and a show in the evenings, do you think that we'd be able to enjoy ourselves despite the crowds? I think yes, but my hubby thinks I'm crazy.

Boardwalk area=great move there. You have the boats and can walk. I walked from DHS to Epcot today and beat the boat by a solid 10 minutes.

DHS was pretty rough today. 2 hours for ToT, 1 1/2 hours for RnR, almost 2 hours for ST, and I didn't check Midway Mania. Epcot actually felt busier today then it did yesterday. Next year TSL will be open so it may be busier in the Studios next year.

Getting a bus from Wilderness Lodge to DHS was bad, nearly a 45 minute wait. But in that time, we had 5 AK buses come through. If I had to guess, they're running more buses for AK due to Avatar Land. Next year, if I had to guess, the Studios may get the bump in buses (which won't affect you) and maybe AK will get reduced service. Again, not sure.

In case you didn't know, go and download the Disney world app. You'll be able to see how the wait times are currently.

When I passed by MK last night (going from the monorail to a WL bus), they played the "Main Street USA is at capacity. If you are in other areas of the park, do not move. You will be able to see the fireworks" spiel. That was at 855pm on 12/25.

I only took a few pictures of DHS.

I have the WDW Lines app. on my phone. I can see what the wait times are for the rides. Today is a 10 out or 10 for crowds. Most MK rides are 60 to 90 minutes wait. Best rides are more. Mine train is 190. With these wait time how many rides can you do in a day?

Exactly this. When I come down at Christmas I plan on doing only what I have Fast passes for. If I can do more, great! If not, no loss since I didn't expect it.

Example in MK. Used FPs for SM and BTM and ended up doing HoP (new movie is incredible), CoP, and of course the PeopleMover. That was it. Epcot, used FPs for TT and M:S, ended up doing only the Canada movie as well.

Plan accordingly and you'll have a good time. Don't expect to do everything unless you enjoy 2 hour waits (FoP was at 5 hours this morning!!).
