Picky Eater

Reading all these threads about being a picky eater makes me so happy my parents made me eat everything as a child... Can't imagine being an adult and not being able to eat anything... Buzz kill

When I was on the road as a show tech I used to work with a guy that was incredibly picky. Great guy otherwise, but he would only eat cheeseburgers or pizza. One night in Atlanta our client took the whole crew up to the really nice revolving restaurant at the Westin. He could have had anything from lobster on down, but he requested that they do a burger, which they didn't have on the menu. I think he ended up with a baked potato. Very hard to please!

I would recommend Marrakesh even for picky eaters...things like chicken couscous are not heavily spiced and the atmosphere there is SO fun. :)

I'm just as picky as the person you're traveling with it sounds like and I would eat at all of those except for Biergarten and Rose and Crown. Biergarten doesn't have a lot of "normal" food. If you want to get super adventurous and your picky friend likes breakfast foods, try Tusker House in Animal Kingdom!

I guess it depends on what your idea of normal is. I grew up with parents from eastern Europe and those are the foods that I grew up eating. To me, normal food is old world, nose to tail cooking. The way most of the world eats as "normal". It is mostly just the US that the food is plain and over processed and really not that good for you. We love Biergarten and my kids always want to eat there every trip. But they always want to eat at Teppan and Tusker House too.

I love Marrakesh! And I have a printed menu of many restaurants including it, but he is not a fan of couscous. It has a "funny" texture. Also does not like Humus but I know you can get that on the side
