Pick a pearl

Has anyone ever done pick a pearl in epcot? If so, how likely is it to get two of the same sized pearls? I would love to make a set of earrings to wear for my wedding when I go but two different sizes would look pretty silly! Also has anyone ever turned them into jewelry? If so, how does it look, and did it last?

On my last trip I did it three times hoping to get two of the same to have earrings made, it didn't happen though lol. Each one was 1/4mm bigger than the previous one. I had two of them made into necklaces for my sister and I. It was kind of pricey but I was very happy with the finished products. My sister also loved hers!

Is there any thing like brooches, where I could get just one and put it on a nice setting? I was thinking maybe if they have something like that I could pin it on my dress somewhere since the dress will be lace. I tried to find somewhere that had some examples online but couldn't find one anywhere!

As the poster above said they have rings and pendants but I you can also find them on ebay or etsy so either site might just have a brooch.

Every year I get two. The last two years I've gotten a blue one and a white one. I'd love to find twins one time, as I've seen others get them. I've never had any of them made into jewelry.

To pick the pearl is only $17, to have it set on the pendant was $32 and the 14k white gold chain was $99. There are silver chains that are far less expensive and other settings for the pearl started around $20-25. It all depends on what you want.

My daughter got 2 different shades and wanted earrings made, they let her pick which shade she liked the best and then had extra pearls that they found to match and switched it out for her. No extra charge. That gave her 2 matching pearls earrings. IDK if they just do that for kids but it does not hurt to ask.

Three years ago I was lucky enough to purchase two pearls. One from Typhon lagoon, the other from Japan in EPCOT. They were both a similar gray in color and the exact same size. I think my odds of landing those two were very bad. Had them turned into earing for my wife. Very lucky, and it makes for a great Disney World story!

I saw a woman that picked two pearls... they ended up not being the same size... one was a little smaller then the other. She still ended up having them made into earrings. They were absolutely gorgeous... you couldn't even tell the size difference when she was wearing them....
So i would say... if you get lucky enough where the pearls are similar in size and color... go for it!

I think I read somewhere that they also have pick a pearl over near the BC/YC pool. Easy walk thru International Gateway. I'm pretty shy and like to be a little kooky in a quiet way so I would love to have pearl earrings that didn't match exactly to wear at my wedding. Try two if they don't match try a third you can always go necklace and earrings.

I am on of the lucky ones that got twins back in 2009 at Epcot! I made earrings with them. I also have a ring I made and a necklace. :)

They also have a booth at Downtown Disney I saw the last few trips. :)

I've got two very similar pearls before, but one I got at the Japan Pavillion and the other at Universal's Island of Adventure. We bought a beautiful ring setting and my mom proudly wears it now.

Sorry to jump in but does anyone know what size range the rings are? I have really chunky fingers but don't want to embarrass myself by being told they are all too small

As far as I know the main one in Epcot had all sizes. They have the biggest selection there in the Japan shop. :)

Yes they do have a booth DTD. A few years back I needed a perl replaced in a ring I had, but I wanted it green, so I bought a pay a earrings from them and the took one them and put in the ring I had. They also had quite a variety of jewelry to choose from.
