Just looking to see if anyone has been to the piano bar at the Boardwalk. What is it like? Cover charge? Any special drinks? Do the piano players take requests? When is the best day of the week to go? Do peopel dress up to go or is it resort wear casual? Any information would be helpful.

It´s called Jellyrolls and it´s a lot of fun. It has dueling pianos that do take requests. I have only been there on Tuesday nights though, because that was cast member´s night. You don´t need to dress up for that. You need to be 21+. There is a cover charge, but I don´t know how much it is now. If you go there with a group is even better, the place is not too big. It has two bars on the sides and tables in the middle and people just sit or stand all around. You can dance if you want to, but there are times when everybody is on the chairs!
The piano players are great!!

People aren't allowed to stand on chairs anymore. And I think they learned it after I fell off of a chair . A girl too drunk to walk pushed over the chair I was standing on and I landed on the floor. I wasn't hurt but I somehow just rolled onto the floor?!? A couple of weeks after that, chair standing wasn't permitted anymore.

Anywho...standing on chairs isn't what it's all about. It's about singing YOUR favorite songs and having a GREAT time. I've never had a bad time when at the place. If you're into kareoke and such, I'm positive you'll like Jellyrolls!

I have the feeling that you didn´t get your song played! Which one did you ask for? :animwink:

You probably won´t have to ask for it, but "If I had a million dollars" and "Piano Man" make for a real nice choir in the bar! :D Lots of fun! :)

It was a Buffet tune ( I don't remember which one - it's been awhile :animwink: ) - I do remember that one of the players laughed at my expense, and was more than willing to play a request for some Beastie Boys song...:hurl:

Aaaweee... it was probably not the right time for the song and the audience...

Jimmy Buffet has some good ones! I like him! :animwink:

Well, I don't know about the timing, but what you've said really has made me feel better - I've been holding feelings of ill-will toward the piano bar for years!

Thanks! :)

Jelly Rolls

This is actually one of my favorite places to go after the parks close down. It's a lot of fun, the crowd usually gets pretty involved and the drinks are priced reasonably. Cover charge is only a couple of bucks, so it's not too bad. We always stay at the Beach Club, so getting back to the room is never a problem cause we can just walk.
