This is in the former AFI location, correct? I was trying to check it out based on Google Maps and it looks like it matches up. Just wanted to be sure.
It's larger than the other one.The snow play area seems small - but maybe it's just the pictures and perspective? Just didn't know how cramped you may feel in there or if it's a nice area that is fun and pleasant?
The new area is in the old AFI showcase exhibit, which combined with the shop, is not a particularly big space. I would say it is larger than the old area, but not huge by any stretch. I would imagine that demand will drop off a bit now that the big park-wide Frozen event is over with. The snow play area seems small - but maybe it's just the pictures and perspective? The snow area is yes. But I think the poster thinks it looks smaller because the actual building it's housed in is smaller becuase of the lack of the ice rink. It's larger than the other one.
What are the other Frozen things at WDW right now that you can't handle? It actually doesn't look half bad. Probably the only Frozen thing I can deal with at WDW at the moment honestly..

There's only one meet and greet open...and Maelstrom is still Maelstrom, so...yeah, as I thought.Meet & Greets and a replacement of Maelstrom.

I hate overly intrusive meet and greets. I hate being forced to meet a character when going to the park.Meet & Greets and a replacement of Maelstrom.
Well this actually opened the first week of July in Soundstage One. It was a huge success so that's why it was one of the few remaining elements that was kept of Frozen Summer Fun. They just moved it because there are other plans in place I believe for Soundstage One.While the pathway to the store looks kind of sad, since they had to shoehorn it into the old industrial backlot tour area, once you get inside this looks great.
But I can't help thinking this is all way too late. Can you imagine the sales and frenzy this would have created if this had opened 11 months ago? If they had this type of stuff ready for the Frozen craze to begin with, Disney would have made huge amounts of profit.
As it is, it's like opening a huge, well stocked Cabbage Patch Dolls store in 1984 instead of 1982. (Only about 10% of us will get that reference. I'm old!)
