Yeah I wish they took those walls down around the end of ariel's grotto and finished the backstage gate. But that's the section that they plan to keep closed a while for whatever so It's probably only open temporarily
Seven Dwarf's Mine Train artwork says "Coming Soon 2014."
Like I've been saying for...what...well over a year now?Just watched Tom Stagg's presentation from last night and he said it would open Spring 2014.

Pretty much still a year and a half away........that seems like quite a long time still for this attraction.Like I've been saying for...what...well over a year now?
Yep.Looks like he's been following your posts pretty closely.

Consistent with the time it took them to build the rest of the expansion. The rest of the expansion took 34 months, the mine ride will take 29 if it opens at the end of March 2014. Not saying they couldn't do it faster if they wanted to, but not out of line by Disney standards.
Is it possible the long construction time table is due to the fact that the ride is confined to a small space in the middle of an open area? Getting supplies and workers into this area while the park is open is probably logistically difficult to do while trying to minimalize disruption to the guests. So, most of the heavy work probably has to be accomplished in the short window the park is closed. Just my guess...
With the concept art I saw for this I think there's a lot more happening inside than we're giving credit for. Sure it's nothing on the scale of building a full blown attraction but step one is the demo and removal of everything that was. Maybe, just maybe, when it opens we'll say "ohhh that's why it took so long." Of course then there's the possibility that we say "they must've took a break for 6 months."What's even worse is Fairytale Hall. The DL equivalent is opening March 10 according to Al Lutz, but here it's not coming until "late 2013" even though there's no new building required, no major changes are happening with the facade and it's been in construction for over 6 months now.
