You can see so much construction going on in Fantasyland in that last picture. I'm honestly so glad that they are fixing this land up!

Hopefully they are prepping to wall in that final corner so SDMT is closed in. Then they can have an access get across from the gate between mermaid and circus to get in and out

I wouldn't be surprised if they left that as a dead end until he Mine Ride is much closer to completion. Leaving that corner like it is allows them to keep the access road connected to the construction site.

The footprint for this ride looks pretty big and after watching the video mock-up in the other thread, I have to say this looks be a very promising addition to WDW -- much better than a Barnstormer 2.0. I can't wait to see the finished product.
