I must say I'm surprised. I guess they wanted to see what happens when they use the characters at other parks. Next Disney might use Mickey from Hollywood Studios at Animal Kingdom, lol.

They were roaming when I was there, but I got there right when RPW opened so hardly anyone was there. They may move to a spot when there are more Guests going through the area. There wasn't photopass so they seemed to have lots of freedom.

We used to like seeing her in France, she would do this cute thing where she would look through the windows at the perfume shop there and wave a people as they passed. Is this move just for while the new M&G gazebo is being built and she will come back, or will a different character be moving to France when it is complete?

I don't know how much of it is the popularity of Aristocats, as much as it is a girly/princessy/dolled up fluffy white cat. I believe this is why she is so popular with the kids, especially the little girls. I can tell you my daughter wanted plush Marie last year when we went to WDW. She has seen Aristocats only once and did not seem that into it, but after meeting Marie and posing for girly type pictures, whe could resist buying the cuddly plush cat. And in that is why Marie is out...merchandising!

It is merchandising that will bring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit into making meet and greets in the Town Square Theater when the princess depart for Princess Fairytale Hall in 2013. (nothing confirmed, just my theory). You see the Oswald ear hats are now out in WDW and selling out as fast as the shelves are stocked. Oswald is marketable as he his now well known from the videograming world (Kingdom Hearts, Epic Mickey and soon to be released Epic Mickey 2). It is all about merchandising.

Aristocats is my daughter's favorite Disney movie. She is also a huge Figaro fan so there is a theme...lol. I think they just re-released the blue ray version of the movie too. Marie is waaaaay more popular in Asia than here. If you look at Tokyo Disney pins and merchandise there is way more Figaro and Marie than here. I am not really excited about her move...she fits in better in France.

It's funny, due to the delay on Pete's place Daisy was still in town square next to barber shop. Daisy's line was far longer than Marie. Heard many guests saying, "Who's that cat?" Daisy should move Thursday though.

I saw Chip and Dale the other day and Chip was significantly taller than Dale. Needless to say, it was quite the moment.
