If Disney was going to "react" to Legoland why wouldn't they have picked up the pace when the part was first announced instead of waiting until it opened? That just doesn't make sense.

I don't know that the site is actually any busier then it has been, but it might look that way since a lot more work in being done closer to the construction wall then in the past.

I was going by a comment I read somewhere else that they thought the pace was picking up. Then I heard about the live event on Wednesday where WDI will be discussing the FLE.

I am sure Disney sent some people to Legoland since it opened to observe the park. Could be it is doing better 'word of mouth' than expected. I have no information on that. I just know that the more successful it is the more attention WDW will get ultimately.

I am looking forward to the webcast tomorrow.

Yeah they look like new construction now. Certainly can't be any accusations of not thoroughly refitting those tents! LOL

That's what I was thinking. Kinda surprising they're keeping them after stripping them THAT bare. Very surprising not to see anything inside (walls, bathrooms, etc).

It' still be nice if the area was a bit prettier for the floods of Thanksgiving and Christmas tourists coming down. Concrete and rebar aren't very magical.

i honestly hope that they are picking up work because of legoland. I want it to open by my next trip.

Sea World just announced a D ticket and an expansion of Discovery Cove for next year and an E ticket (Antartica) for 2013. Many members of this forum suggested an Artic themed land for DAK but it appears the competition has beat them to it.

Sea World's new content may be on-line before the FLE is finished. It would be no suprise that the mouse is feeling the pressure to speed things up. Today could be interesting with new details or perhaps just a way to generate some publicity.

In any case, we see the results of real competition in a free market. The consumer ultimately wins. Capitalism, for lack of a better word, is good! :)
