If anyone is looking for about five different videos related to the opening. Sure the regulars know this already but there might be some visitors that don't.

Tikiman is a lifestyler in denial. I've seen several people call him out on getting free things from Disney because he constantly praises all the DVC work at the Poly. His rebuttals become angrier and whinier as the accusations grow.

Ok I've only seen this term thrown around recently, but a lot of the people coining the term just seem to be either jealous or trying to talk down on other people's life choices.
I haven't read jealousy into any of the posts using the term "lifestyler". Some of us are just trying to figure out the term as used in relation to Trader Sam's. (Urban dictionary was of no help.)

The concerns of the folk here who use it seem to revolve around these folk being called "lifestylers" camping out inside at Trader Sams and not moving along after one or two drinks. With such a small bar/stage they really need to keep people moving. However, I don't think we'll find too many people staying all night as suggested as Disney has the right to ask people who are using up a table, but not helping the income of the establishment to move along.

Was anybody able to order a Kungaloosh? Preferably the second version, but just curious if they were offering it inside.

Why would you? The Kungaloosh was an overly sugary, artificially colored slurpee. The house drinks at Sam's are based on decades of tiki bar culture and made with premium ingredients not readily available.

It would be like going to Mortons or Ruths Chris and ordering a burger, well-done, then smothering it in ketchup.

And to stress, other than the decor, no comparison between Sam's and Adventurers Club. Different vibe, different kind of place.

I dont goto a bar to be shuffled aLong after im served. It is a social place - not somewhere where you try to turn tables every 52 minutes.

Why is it pretty sad? Because they don't live the same life as you do? Unless it's to the point of addiction and they are hurting themselves I do not see the harm in it.
They're hurting the establishment that isn't making money, the employees who dont get tips they rely on, and those who legitimately want to have a drink while they have to wait outside because dis blogger needs to take pictures and order another water.

But I'm a bully because I criticize that rude behavior.

This is an adult rainforest cafe though, especially with it being brand new. They need buzz and some twitter people with 150 followers isn't cutting the mustard neither are the 149 of their followers who are there also.

I have no idea what you are trying to say. I also fully disagree with any reference to rainforest... Which is a resturant first and foremost. This is a themed bar

It is sad because it is an addiction.
I could say the same thing about people and sports, but that's just being a "fan".
You could, but you wouldn't change my feelings on it.
That's fine, but I'm just saying there's a bit of hypocrisy in here...

I'm agreeing with Bing Bong here (and that's rare, LOL)

It depends on your definition of the term Addiction: (from http://www.asam.org/for-the-public/definition-of-addiction)

Definition of Addiction

Public Policy Statement: Definition of Addiction

Short Definition of Addiction:

Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. Dysfunction in these circuits leads to characteristic biological, psychological, social and spiritual manifestations. This is reflected in an individual pathologically pursuing reward and/or relief by substance use and other behaviors.

Addiction is characterized by inability to consistently abstain, impairment in behavioral control, craving, diminished recognition of significant problems with one’s behaviors and interpersonal relationships, and a dysfunctional emotional response. Like other chronic diseases, addiction often involves cycles of relapse and remission. Without treatment or engagement in recovery activities, addiction is progressive and can result in disability or premature death.

I do not see the part I highlighted in blue above in folk given the terms "Sports Addict", "Disney Addict", or in this case "Trader Sam's Addict". Simply because one enjoys these activities such as one might enjoy the beach or building models they are labeled addicts. These folk are not true addicts, but the definition was liberally applied to them by folk (and in some cases themselves) when others do not understand the activity or topic they love so much.

An addict will do just about anything for that "hit". Gambling addicts will literally loose their homes and families over their addiction. Give a heroine addict with nothing left some money, and chances are excellent they're using that on the drug.

If a so-called sports addict or Disney addict finds themselves with no money they will not sell off their home to make it to the next game or take a trip to Disney. The term "addict" is used in such playful a manner that it diminishes the severity of what a true addict must go through and overcome. If we find ourselves without internet access, or ESPN, our worlds do not shake beneath us.

Now, It is possible for just about anything to be turned into a true addiction. It just doesn't happen very often with sports and Disney.

The California version does just fine with people ordering a few drinks and hanging out in there... That's kind of what people do at a bar... Plus it looked like everyone that was there was ordering a good amount of stuff to begin with. I think some of you are just trying to use this bar to make stabs at people.

If the sports fan makes their professional, social, and private life revolve around, and be entirely dependent on the sports team... Then you might have a comparison. But even most 'super fans' of teams don't abandon professional careers so they can hang around the team more

Having unfortunately lived in the midwest for the last decade and half I can honestly say I don't see a difference...

To all of you taking the at "lifestylers" I ask you this: What are you passionate about? What are you a fan of? How are your life choices regarding the things you are passionate about any better? How can you judge what makes you happy vs what makes people with a different mind set happy? What do you want these people do to instead? Why do you care what they do with their lives? How does it affect you?
