The Enchanted Grove walkway (the one with the wishing well) is closed off because of this as well. The smoking area that was there has temporarily been moved to the other side of the castle, next to Castle Couture.

Why so early? If it takes them 8 days (one entire week almost) to put them up, why not do it in late October or so? Why to hurry?

I wouldn't mind if they left them up year round if they could be made durable enough. That way they could have different lighting programs year-round and they really are not that bad in the daytime.

WOW. BAD idea. Have you even seen them up close? They are PAINFULLY obvious in person. You can see each light when standing in front of the stage. You can also see the netting because they aren't exactly snug. Plus the entire point is that it looks like ice and it is such a huge draw for the Christmas party. It would make 0 sense to have those year round because of the icy effect they give. Now, fiber optics could be cool.

Because park attendance is higher in October for Halloween. They started putting them up last year in August so this is actually late. As soon as the Halloween parties end, the Christmas ones start. I makes perfect sense to do them mid-september.

It could be really neat! I would love it. Do you think it would take away from the castle?

I actually think it would, but hey I mean it IS Cinderella's Castle, that's still going to be the main attraction once you enter the park, no one can forget the castle, I mean it's simply THE castle. Lol. So while I do think it would take away a slice from the castle, I don't think it would take away the whole pizza.
