Yeah, if they want to match the concept art, the blue needs to be darker and the pink needs to be lighter. Much lighter. Though now that it covers more of the castle, I don't hate this color scheme. But those gold accents would be much easier to see if they toned down the pink.
I don't hate it either, I actually like the gold accents and hope the pink will become softer when completely dry.

Not loving the electric blue though, it doesn't look elegant, imo.

Right - it looks better being all one color. Some of that is perhaps that you no longer see the original color to know how much better that looked. :)

I also "don't hate it", but prefer a lighter color. I share the hope that this is a base coat and the final look is different, but it is unusual for things to get lighter with a topcoat rather than darker.

Looking at the concept art, the current electric blue paint on the roofs seems to match the contrasting roof patterns for the main and clock towers so we're certain that the paint will definitely be an undercoat. The pink, on the other hand, is up in the air (for now).

I can say. That blue is very close to a bright royal blue. I agree with many, I do not hate the colors but it is hard to see the difference between the pink and gold. There needs to be more distinction between the shades. I would hope they are painting the dark first so when the light color fades, the dark comes thru being a primer. Didn't they say the painting would take months. So hopefully that means many more coats of color to be added.

The spires really aren’t working.

Are we expecting them to get darker like the concept art?
Glad I'm not the only one hoping for the blue to get darker! Liking the rose shade, it isn't looking as bright as I feared.

I think everything will look a lot better when the paint job is completely dry. 🙂
