Hi guys,

We got the photopass as a wedding present and we went to Epcot today.

We saw 1 photographer at the Canadian Pavillon and took a picture. Another with The Beast (line was closed off) and then 2 at the exit.

When I told the guy I didn't see many of the photographers in the park, he told me there were plenty, he even added that there was 7 more than usual (trainees)

At this rate with 2 pictures a day...I'm not sure it will be worth ordering!

You should be able to find photographers just past the entrance to each park (pics with park icons in background). Red boxes with Mickey's glove (on park maps) indicate character greeting areas. You can check your times guides or with guest services if you are looking for a pic with a specific character. They are really good at hunting characters down if it's important to you & you ask nicely. I hope that information helps! Enjoy your honeymoon!

After you go online and make multiple copies of each picture (different backgrounds cropped differently or maybe color and black and white) then you end up with a lot of pictures, especially if you ask the photographers to take some of the magic poses. Whenever we ran into a photographer they usually took multiple pictures in different poses and some with just the kids or just my wife and I or even individual pictures. I think we ended up with over 400 pictures.

Sorry you haven't had luck finding the Photopass photographers... at least it's free, right? Funny thing is, I think Epcot is actually the best park for Photopass. Every park has people at the entrance, but there's also photographers on the walkway by the Fountain of Nations and also I think they send them to rove World Showcase in the afternoon. I'm guessing you guys don't really do the meet 'n' greets, otherwise you probably would have noticed them a lot more. I would say about 80-90% of characters have a Photopass CM with them. That would probably be one of my few complaints about Photopass: often it's just park icon and characters and that's it.

If you want to take lots of pictures, go to MK for opening. I swear there are a dozen Photopass CM's in a line down MSUSA.

I am a HUGE supporter of the PhotoPass! I make it a mission to hunt those little CM photographers down every trip, lol! If you're not looking for meet and greet shots, you really have to keep your eyes open...alot of the time, you see them wander around their "spot" and if you're not paying close attention, they may just look like an ordinary guest if they aren't taking pictures of someone at the time.

Some of the "different" spots that I have gotten pics from a PP CM taken were:

At Epcot, near the Fountain of Nations there is usually a CM there and if you ask, they may know how to do the "soarin" magic shot! I love that one! We've had PP pics taken on the bridge just before France, at Japan right in front of the Torii Gate and near Norway with Tink in our hands. There are usually quite a few CM's at the entrance too, in various spots and by the base of WS.

At MK, on the bridge between the hub and Tomorrowland, with the castle in the background. Near Crystal Palace, with the castle in the background. On the bridge to the left of the castle, at the entrance to Liberty Square with the castle in the background. Outside of POTC, sometimes there is one who may know how to do a magic shot with Capt Hook. At the MNSSHP we had a CM set up in front of the POTC sign who took our pic. Of course, you have Main Street and in front of Partners too.

At DHS, we've gotten pics in front of the hat, in various spots. Alot of the photographers on Hollywood Blvd know how to do magic shots and we've had CM's take us over to benches and stand in certain spots doing stuff to get cool shots for our photopass. We've gotten pics in front of the Animation Studio and also near Star Tours holding light sabers.

At AK, of course at the entrance with the tree in the background. Alot of those CMs do some cool magic shots as well. Down further, near the tree of life sign, there is always a CM there. Near EE, there is one taking pics with the ride in the background. Also on the path between Africa and Asia, there is usually a CM positioned to take pics with the back of the tree of life in the background.

There are PP CM's in the lobby of alot of the resorts as well. We've gotten pics at WL and AKL both multiple times.

There really are a lot of PP CM's out there, you just need to keep watching! Hope this helps!

If you're at DAK outside the front gate, look for a CM with a small wooden crate on the ground. They won't do the magic shot all the time, but you can ask.

DHS also has CM's on Sunset Blvd I think.

Shouldn't you be doing something with your new wife instead of posting here while on your honeymoon? :ROFLOL:

They are all over the place. At the entrances mainly, most character spots, and many of the photo op spots.

Hey, you can do that the rest of your lives! You are only at WDW for a week or so. I think you have your priorities in order.

Have a great vacation AND honeymoon! :animwink:

That's why I've never done photopass. I don't see many photographers, and even if they are there somewhere as others say, I have better things to do than go looking for them.

We LOVE the photopass. Its only me and my DH that go to Disney so all my shots of us together that I get myself are only of our heads, so having a professional that knows the parks and shots so well is great. We always get a ton of pictures in all of the parks, and we are such kids at heart that we usually go to every character meet and greet to get pictures with all the different characters. I also like that the photopass photographers will take pictures with your own camera so you don't have to spend a ton of money buying their pictures.

When we were in the World last winter we didnt see very many Photo Pass Photographers either. And when we did come across one, we had to wait for our turn while they snapped other families etc. It kinda turned us off on it and instead when we want a picture taken with a character for example, we just hand the CM our camera. They come out great, and didn't cost any extra. We've gone every year for nearly 25 years so how many pictures do we Really need of us in front of the castle, Spaceship Earth etc?

What is the magic shot?

Check here -> http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/ to see a rundown of most of the magic shots. The one at AK involving the crate isn't shown, but you should get a good idea of what they are.

Beyond that, we have never had a problem finding photographers. I think our last trip we ended up with 6 cds worth of edited photos. Something like 3000 pictures.

Make sure to do both day and night photos. The lighting is very different for evening photos, and they come out as a completely different photo. And stop a few times. You never know when one photographer will have you do something different.

As others have said there are plenty of Photopass photogs around, and you usually don't have to try that hard to find them. You'll also find, when you look at the pictures that were taken that there are several that you didn't even know they took, opposed to the 1 they may take with your own camera. This happens a lot with M&G's, especially the ones where you are interacting with the character a bit.

I've been vacillating about doing photopass on our upcoming trip but Dreamfinder convinced me. My wife is a Tink fanatic and the link he posted had examples of magic shots including Tink.

Oh you will love it then. Some of our favorite shots were the magic shots with tink and the candid shots from the tink meet and greet. The PPCMs there shot pics while you were chatting with the characters and got some really nice ones of us and the kids.

And you may or may not want to tell her that on the Photopass website, you can add Tink/Fairies borders to all of your photos and they will come on your CD at no additional charge.
