Photopass Question

Hi all!

I'm new to this photopass thing and I preordered a PhotoCD before heading down to WDW last month. I have one question about it. When looking at the PhotoCD page on disneyphotopass.com, I saw this:

"All photos (including those with added borders) will default to 4x6 unless you save in another size while editing, such as 5x7."

Now, I was just assuming that we would get high res files of all the photos, and if I want to print some out at an 8x10 size it would be fine, or if I wanted most at 4x6 it would be ok. I don't want them all to come in a resolution that would look great as 4x6 prints but would all look terrible if I tried to stretch them out to 8x10. Can anyone shed some light on this? Do I have to go through each one and change some setting or something like that?

Saving a photo in different sizes does not really change the file size; it is strictly an aspect ratio thing. I can also tell you that I have seen Photopass pictures printed out 8x10 and they do look good.

The quality is good enough for an 8x10. The issue is with cutting off part of the picture. If you have a picture saved as 4x6 and add one of the borders (or not); then you try printing it in a different size like an 8x10, the top and bottom of the picture will be cut off and therefor cutting off part of the border and picture (in my case, the very top of the Castle). You may have the option to stretch the picture to fit when you print, but that will distort your image.

Thanks so much for the replies! I guess the only thing I should look into doing now is seeing if there are any ones that might get cut off if I want it bigger. I'm not seeing any way of "saving" it in any other size for the photoCD though. Hmm...
