Photography in Disneyworld

I thought that I had read in one of my many books that Disney offered some kind of deal that has a professional take pics of your group and then you have an option to go online or something to buy prints. Does anyone know what I am talking about and how we sign up for it? Adding another totally unrelated question, how easy is it to transfer from one resort to another? We have reservations to do dinner at several other resorts and were concerned. Thanks ya'll!

For pictures, you are thinking of photopass

As for transferring between resorts, if you are relying on Disney transportation, it's a bit difficult. You have to take the bus to a "hub" which can be any park, the TTC or DTD, depending of course upon what time it is, and then transfer to a bus to the resort you are looking for. This is a bit easier in the Epcot resort area, since there are also the Friendship boats and they are within walking distance. And of course the monorail for the MK resorts. Where are you staying?

We are staying at Port Orleans and we have reservations at Wilderness Lodge, Ft. Wilderness, Contemporary, and the Polynesian, all on different nights! We must have been nuts to do that! Thanks for the help!

Nuts. Yeah that would explain it. :hammer:

The good news is that they are reasonably easy to get to. If they are early reservations, like before the parks close, take the bus to the MK then monorail or boat to the resort. If they are later reservations, Epcot or DTD may be your best bet. I've never stayed at POR, but I've heard there is a boat that goes to DTD.

Good luck! Have a great trip!

There is a professional photo package you can do - all you do is register with the first photography stand you go to - you'll get a numbered card you will use at all further stops. Sometimes they offer discount purchase deals and stuff with the resort stays.

I stay at Port Orleans French Quarter all the time - it is very easy to get form one resort to an another - from any of the parks, take any of the busses to that resort - there are also various options like monorails and boats. If you are in a rush, there are cabs at every park and resort that will whisk you from place to place. The busses, boats, and monorails are free. THe cabs are overpriced but ever present.

If you are hopping from resort to resort park to park, you will want to get a guide like the Unofficial Guide to WDW '06 or the PassPorter with all the maps and photos and info on how to get from place to place.

Okay so thanks for the tips on the PhotoPass but now I have another stupid question. Once the bus brings us to Wilderness Lodge for Hoop-Dee-Do.....how will we know where to go for the show? After reading a few things about that place it sounds huge and I am afraid of getting lost and loosing our seating. And seeing as how I have 10 people reserved on my credit card, I am a bit nervous about getting there on time!

Please don't make the mistake of confusing Wilderness Lodge with Fort Wilderness!!! The Hoop Dee Doo is in Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness. If you arrive at Wilderness Lodge, you are in the wrong place!!! Common mistake, but you'll be disappointed if you make it  .

Have fun!!! It's really great! My entire family loved it!
