Hi! It's our first visit in WDW. I was just wondering, are the photographers available infront of the cinderella castle before the park opens? I am planning to get a breakfast ADR in crystal palace and I read in other forum that it is the best time to get a pic infront of the castle. We bought a Photopass/Memory Maker (i don't know if it's the same). Thanks!

Congrats on your first visit!
A lot of times you can catch a Photopass photographer just when they come on, I know a lot of them are out there a good 15 minutes before "rope drop" (opening)... Also,if you can stay up late for it, try getting one after the "kiss goodnight" (this happens usually a half hour after the park closes they do it 3 times) when the park closes those always come out supper nice and there is usually Photopass photographers on main street after the park closes as well again those photos come out real nice especially with the lights and fairly vacant park behind you! you are correct on the Memory Maker!

I have a video on my youtube channel that shows what rope drop i like my channel name is mickeyearsfl

I hope you have a fantastic time! I am very fortunate to go as much as I do ( my wife works there as a Photopass cast member) If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I think you will all have the time of your life, and memories that you will remember for years to come!

Thanks a lot. We plan it too late, i just book it end of Sept, and our trip is on 11/17-11/20. It's a surprise gift for our daughter who's turning 7 (she doesn't know about this trip, we're planning to tell her on the day that we are leaving). We are all first timers (my husband and I who is in our mid 30's) and i guess I'm more excited than my 14 yr old son. I just rely with all the tips and forums that I read. Honestly, it's so stressful planning this trip but so exciting to

Yes, there should be photographers on Main Street before rope drop. They may not be all there, but there will be a few and the numbers should increase as park opening gets closer. If you cannot get a pre-rope drop ADR, then there will be crowds on Main Street that will grow as the day goes on.

FYI - Photopass is the name of the service. Memory Maker is the product that entitles you to download of any pictures that a Photopass photographer takes of your party.

We had BoG reservations at 8:05 on a Friday and were in front of the Castle at 8:00. There were at least 2 Disney photographers along Main Street in front of the castle at that time of the morning. Shouldn't have a problem...

Planning the trips can be stressful, especially if you don't really know what to expect.. one thing I can recommend is to not try to do too much.. figure out the 3 or 4 things each day that you Really want to do (rides.. character meets.. photo ops.. etc..).. then have a list of the things you would like to do and work them as you can.

Remember, you are on vacation, you are there to have fun. Don't get too caught up on trying to do absolutely everything.. you won't be able to, so don't try. :)
