Great photos, Monorail! Looks like you put a lot of thought and effort into taking quality photographs instead of just taking a bunch of snapshots. Thanks for posting these for us to see. You should also post the link in the "official" thread so everyone who is following along with that thread has the opportunity to see your pictures.

I wish I could have been there to witness the festivities. And I wish I could have purchased a Figment and T-shirt and gotten some maps. You got Figment # 495. Pretty cool!

DizWiz: Somehow I missed the "official" thread but perhaps I'll go post a few over there. Thanks for noticing the "thought" that went into these. It's challenging shooting a place like WDW where so many billions (trillions?) of photos have been taken. I try to pull myself out of the snapshot rut. I was also trying to get an "almost there" feel to share with a friend of mine who's out of state and couldn't attend. Hence the odd pic or two (sushi, anyone? )

Capt Jack: Most of these were taking with my Nikon D200 with/18-200mm lens. Some were taken with my compact Canon SD800 as well. You can see from the Flickr data which was which (almost all were the Nikon).

GREAT pictures, thanks for taking them and sharing them with us!

I know a lot of people think Disney in general and EPCOT specifically shouldn't be about looking backwards, just always moving forwards, but I appreciate them taking the time and effort to reflect on the long and rich history EPCOT has had. Especially since I'm sure there are a LOT of Disney fans that never had the chance to see the pre-94 version of EPCOT.

Those displays look great, thanks again for taking the time to post those pics!
