Hi Mouseketeers! We nipped over to Downtown Disney the other night after I finished my final exams (whew!) and we found a few things to report.
Of course, the holiday decorations are up everywhere, and they look great! Here's a close-up of some of the garland and lights. This is one of the windows at the Basin.
These pretty banners are waving all over the place. Several of them are in place around the Mickey play fountain and all over. They are really pretty when they billow in the breeze. It was cold!!!
These poinsettias are everywhere as well. So festive and pretty!
Something curious is going on in front of the World of Disney store. It looks as though a new window display might be going in. . . we're not sure. Anyone have the scoop?
Santa is paying a visit to Downtown Disney Marketplace. That jolly old elf has set up shop right outside World of Disney! Here's the sign on his workshop:
Here's his whole set-up. See Santa in his throne greeting kiddies! He's in the left building. Jolly!
And of course, you can pay to have your photo made with the Fat Man himself. No word on whether you can use Photopass for this. . . I'm not sure. These trees are pretty, too. . . they're the pre-lit kind, but with fat red and green bulbs. Very nice!
World of Disney is sporting Christmas window displays all the way around. See this one featuring Stitch:
. . . and one with Mickey.
. . . as well as one with Tinkerbell!
Ahhh here's the first of the new hat craze. These are just like regular Mickey ears physically, a cap with ears, but they have Santa-like white fur around the rim, a silver Mickey silhouette front and center, and silver glittery snowflakes on the ears! And yes, these are in adult and child sizes. I was very impressed with these!
