Hopefully this is in the right section..I just have a general question reguarding the photo pass photographers..I dont mean to put them down at all but do they require any trianing for the job? I preordered a photo pass CD before we left (I have purchased 3 now) and went with the expectations of getting as many photos as I can--and I told the photogs that I preordered the CD and was looking to get as many photos as I could--especially ones of our whole group since I am the main picture taker in the family and there are never any photos pf me (which isnt necessarily a bad thing..:dazzle..
Anyway, many photographers took several pictures and some were rather stingy and only took one or two (even if there wasn't anyone else around). We did end up getting about 200 pics which is great but when I got home & uploaded them MANY of them are less than great--many off center, blurry, feet/heads cut off and overall I was disappointed. I would say only about 25% (if that) came out 'great' with another 20-25% 'OK'..so definitely less than half worth printing. I did not expcect them to all come out great but considering the price of the CD/Photos I just expected better quality pictures overall.
So..My question is do the photographers have any training or are most of them just kind of working through their retirement? Is it just a hit or miss thing depending on who you get? It does seem like a great job to have and I would love to do it some day!
