I read yesterday that the WEDWay was "born" at WDW on 07/01/1975 - does anyone know of a link to a picture of TL before it was built/installed?

Much thanks.

Like these?

Note on the last picture (If You Had Wings) the WEDWay track originally cut off in mid air until it was finished.

didn't it look empty without Space Mountain?

Also what year did the Wedway go in? The same as Space?

I think I'm most impressed by them putting in the Wedway track 4 years before the ride opened. I would be so curious seeing that up there and no ride. "hmm, what's that for?", especially it going through Space.

Wow they opened the park with almost no Tomorrowland. It is neat to see old pictures of the parks. I love seeing the old black and white pictures of Disneyland being built. I noticed that the Tea Cups had no roof on them. When did they add that?

Wow! Marni1971, you rule! You always have great photos from the early years.

It's pretty interesting to see Tomorrowland without Space Mountain. It does seem so empty. And I had no idea that the Mad Tea Party had no roof at one time.

Thanks for sharing!

I had no idea Tomorrowland was so boring when the MK first opened. I wonder if the rest of the park was similar?

Look at the first picture. Just brown land where BTMRR and Splash Mountain are now.

I saw that too. It must have been quite the view from the Liberty Belle and Tom Sawyers Island or were they even open yet?

It is such a different place now.

If you have the Travel Channel you can see some great shows on all the Disney Parks. They had two on earlier today, one on the Disney Imagineers and their history.
