LoL...I gave the gf my old D3100 so I can sort of get away with many of these photo outings..so far so good!

she just hates how much time I spend at home shooting digitally for clients, then shooting film for my own work... all the time in the darkroom. So when we're at WDW it's vacation and a wicked limit on camera time.

I can't convince my husband to take a trip that revolves around something he's not interested in. One of my friends already had a trip planned for that week, so I'll be living vicariously through him. Sounds like it will be fun!

if we get our SO's (and ourselves) to sign a "good behavior" contract I'll split a room with you!
I really want to go and I actually got the green light from the wife but it'll be hard for me to foot a resort bill all alone. I usually stay in the deluxes and well, have become accustomed to the benefits of the resorts, especially the aspect of location and convenience.

I had the pleasure of meeting Adam Hansen (Disney Photography Blog), Alan Rappaport (Big Red Shorts), Mike Besant, and Brendan Bowen (all flickr contacts) last year during a solo trip in March. They're great guys and have been really helpful with all things related to Disney photography.
As a group they usually stay at the Pop - the favorite resort of many Disney photographers on flickr. Adam said on the article that Alan and Big Red Shorts should be able to negotiate special group rates so I'd be on the lookout for these.

Maybe. If I was still living in FL it would be a no brainer...sadly I'm not. I've met a few Flickr contacts over the years too and they have all been very friendly and a pleasure to hang out with.
When we moved back to MI from FL I told my girlfriend that we would probably only last 6 months before we "had" to go back to Disney...October would be just over 6 months so we'll see

Oh dear lord....
They should arrange a shootout. Hell, I'll judge. We get someone to donate or let us use a boatload of old point and shoot cameras, a bunch of 64 Mb cards and turn people loose for about 6 hours, we download, judge and winner gets a milkshake or something.
That being said, I know Alan. Nice guy. Last person who has ever gotten me to ride Everest.

Bummer. Gonna miss it by a week. Leaving for a quick trip next Thursday.
