Philharmagic and men with blueprints

Just back from WDW and I watched several men with blueprints closely examining the exterior of the Philharmagic building closely. Specifically they spent the most time at the rather empty portion of the building to the far left of the entrance. Probably just a move of the stroller parking is my guess. Anyone have any ideas?

Remember the last time when we saw people outside an attraction with blueprints in their hands it was outside Haunted Mansion last year... they changed the line around ...and then came the amazing referb...hmmmm just a little food for thought :) But it might be ideas to get those darn strollers out of the way of traffic,...maybe they will put them on the roof since there is no other areas, and the current areas barely fit them all. And still people will park their strollers park them infront of the attractions...even right in front of the sign that says not to park them LOL. Sorry I digress....a lot!

Mabey while they are at it they could pour a little concrete under that cheap scaffolding sounding floor in the preshow room.

Removal of outside queue, possible removal of Fastpass, and a new area to park one's strollers.
I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case, that show has practically no use for FP. I have never used it, every time I get into the same show that others with FPs get into, it is just a matter of who gets into the pre-show room first.

I think shows like this and Lights Motors action should not bother with this...Honesty I think fast pass has turned into a monster..and I don't mean the friendly kind in Tomorrowland lol

FP is a monster for a lot of different reasons. It created a hierarchy for attractions that wasn't immediately clear to guests in the pre-FP days. Now, if an attraction has FP it's somehow a "must-see" and superior to all the attractions that don't offer FP.

took the words out of my mouth!! Its very true... another example...I believe making peter pan and star tours FP...just really slow down the line even more. I remember a Star Tours during spring break...fast pass was actually out the door, they had to stop the stand by line until that fast pass line was at least in the building... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! lol. Its the same with Peterpan...they barely even merge them...giving them barely any wait time... were at least star tours and other attractions its at least half way point. At Peter pan you only have a few steps until your to the front of the line...but I guess this is an older attraction and your would really have to change the line a lot to make it more fair...but best bet...just get rid of it...its also a waste of paper!!

Do ever wonder if maybe sometimes they just walk around with blue prints looking all serious to trigger fan forum frenzies?

Ya know they probably at least think about it and snigger into their coffee cups..

Maybe they're finally going to give it a preshow instead of just a lame holding pen. This attraction is such a letdown after the much more impressive Legend of the Lion King. Between the Rafiki preshow and the impressive pupeteering of the main show, Philharmagic doesn't hold a candle to it. I know many think it's a great show, but I still feel all of the other WDW 3-D films are better (even HISTA).

Wow. Worse than HISTA? Philharmagic a letdown?

I'd say Philharmagic is one of the few attractions from the past 10 years that's really engaging and successful and worth seeing on every trip.

Agreed. WAY too many attractions use FP these days. I actually never even noticed that Philharmagic used fastpass. I've never waited more than 5 minutes to see this film, even on crowded days.

I agree with the poster who complained about Peter Pan using fastpass. This is an attraction that I would never "waste" a FP on (I'd rather only take FP for thrill rides) so if ever I have the urge to ride it, I get stuck waiting 60 minutes in line with hundreds of crying children. The line would move much quicker without the FP'ers slowing everything down.

When I was in DL I noticed that mostly only legit E-tickets used FP (with the exception of Roger Rabbit and Autopia). If I remember correctly, only 7 or 8 attractions in DL use FP. None of their 3D movies or Fantasyland Dark Rides use FP, nor does Star Tours. Even the Matterhorn doesn't use FP. I do realize that DL has a couple extra E-tickets that MK doesn't have, but I'd be interested if any of you out there know exactly how many MK attractions use FP.

Disneyland wasn't always that way. When Fastpass was first started, Star Tours did get one, as did Winnie-the-Pooh, Pirates of the Caribbean, and It's a Small World. Gradually, Disney started to realize they weren't needed and eliminated them. Haunted Mansion has one too, but it's not used a lot of the time (mainly just during Haunted Mansion Holiday). And Roger Rabbit and Autopia can get some pretty insane lines during peak periods, hence their Fastpass. If only the Peter Pan here had one. It's one of the few attractions I would get one for as I hate to wait in a 45 minute line.
As for Magic Kingdom: Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Mickey's Philharmagic, Winnie-the-Pooh, Space Mountain, Stitch's Great Escape!, and Buzz Lightyear all have Fastpass machines. Whether it's used on a given day is up to Disney.

While i dont recall there being a permit for Philharmagic, MK is getting lots of general electrical upgrades in the older buildings. CoP, the various restaurants, etc - all the places that havent really been touched in years.

For Philharmagic i would suspect more of the same, and also the possible change of the queue and FP areas - it's akward and causes traffic flow problems.

I agree with you, we try to see Philharmagic everytime we go. And in my opinion I don't think this is worse the HISTA.
