i have to lean up in my chair because it freaks me out so bad.................... and yes, it is more than a little "prick"

My dad lied to me then. I tricked him into going on ITTBAB and he felt the sting, and I never have(probably never will) And he said it was just like a little tap.

But back to the original topic, my fav. MP moment is the little mermaid scene and alladin. IMO those are the most magical parts of the film.

I can NEVER pick my favorite part! One time it's the Peter Pan part, the next, it's the Aladdin part... it's always changing! The one part I HATE, though, is whenever the corks come flying at you! I have to look down every time! :dazzle:

I just got back. PhilharMagic has to be the best 3D show i have ever seen. The animation and music are extemely well done. A little tip, the best time to see it without any wait is just before Wishes. When you exit the show, the fireworks will be all around you. It was a way cool experience. I felt like i was in the fierworks show.

Philharmagic is by far Disney's most entertaining 3-D show. Some people may say, "oh, the effects are old, and they use old Disney movies, blah blah blah." But what they don't realize is that Philharmagic was made FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. They're not going to subject you to bee stings and any other "technological wonders" in a Fantayland show. It is just perfect for the audience that Walt always targeted, and it shows in the happy faces of guests of every age at the exit of the show. The effects are great but not overpowering, the movie has action without being obscure. I think the constantly sold out theater speaks for itself.

I can say that Philharmagic, though not my favorite attraction, is one of the only attractions anywhere that you REALLY want to visit. Every time I have free time at MK, I ALWAYS say, Philharmagic! I gotta go back!

Of course, it almost was my favorite attraction at MK. If only the budget was a LITTLE bit higher, Disney could have given the show what it truly deserved: a redesigned theater from the old. They could have had more seats, more unique effects, more room in the "preshow area," (it's always so cramp!) and an actual preshow! That could have been a lot easier to deal with, and the show would have been better for it.

P.S. My favorite scene is the Aladdin scene. The freedom you feel from flying through Agrabah is just perfect. And the most well-animated character is Lumiere! He's almost flawless!

Philar Magic

I like the part where Aladen and Jasmine sing A whole New World and wehre donald falls out of the sky, I'm proally the only one who's said this but i thought it was quite humerous!:animwink:

You can try to describe MP to people, but there are no words or descriptions to do this great 3-d show justice. Like many people have said, it just gives you goosebumps. I almost cried the first time I saw it; It brings back incredible childhood memories (even though my childhood wasn't that long ago.. Im only 19). Its not my number one favorite attraction, but I would put it on my top ten list. My favorite parts are also the Little Mermaid and Aladdin sequences, but I am biased since they are my two favorite Disney movies. This is by far my mom's favorite attraction, and she has already said that we are going to the MK everyday just to see this attraction (at least twice daily she claims) on our upcoming trip. This is a MUST see!!!

Philharmagic is definately my favorite 3D show too!! :sohappy:

I agree with most that my favorite part is when Ariel is reaching out. I get goosebumps too! :dazzle:

Shrek, at IoA doesn't compare at all to any of the Disney 3D shows. I was very disappointed in it, after waiting for well over an hour for it.

I guess that its the projectionist in me but I loved that they use 3 separate screens. I felt like that really set it apart from the rest of the 3d shows. And they do it so seemlessly. I remember watching and then all of a sudden realizing the screen was huge.
Now I'm gonna go put on my giant taped together glasses and suspenders cause I'm a dork.

I wish the Peter Pan scene was longer cause that's my fav part. In July of 2003 and January of 2004 I had complex eye surgery. Before our summer trip of 2004 we had gone to various 3D movies, PM, Muppets, Bug etc and everyone enjoyed them in our group except me. Because of my eye problems, I couldn't "see" the 3D effects in movies. PM was my first 3D movie since surgery and I was blown away. I now can see the floating jewels and Ariel's arms and the tassels on the flying carpet. It is just wonderful. Thanks Dr. Parnell for my new eyes and thanks Disney for giving me something so cool to appreciate with them.

Simply love this attraction. It is required viewing to put you in the correct state of mind for your visit. I love the Ariel part as well, as the 3D just made you go Wow! at that point.

I'm glad this thread got bumped. I saw Philharmagic for the first and only time last November on our trip. We just LOVED it and right now I can't remember the whole film (signs of aging!!) but I do remember how much fun it was and I can't wait to see it again. Its definately one of my top 5 at MK and will forever be one of my all time favorites.
