Phase 3 AND MK castle announced! (but I still need your help)

Yesterday, I posted my poll concerning what to do with Phase 2: keep it as is, or move the Paradise Pier-like thrill ride area out of the same park with the studios. Despite the fact only three people have voted, all 3 votes are unanimous-- split Phase 2 and move the PP area out!

I am considering a number of possibilities for Phase 3. As I wrote earlier, I did have plans for a water park. Therefore, my first choice would be to have a very large water park much like Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon; and include a smaller "dry ride" section consisting of mechanical rides, particularly those which would be too intense (ie: thrill rides) to fit in the Magic Kingdom. These rides would sit on a pier-like area (with wooden walkways) off to one side of the water park. Also, many if not most of these rides have an aquatic theme towards them, in case you haven't read my Phase 2 proposal yet! IMHO, the "Paradise Pier"-type area would fit in MUCH better in the water park, as well as making the water park unique from WDW's and offering a few different options! Also, I don't think that the Paradise Pier-like area could possibly hold its own as a separate park by itself, so I combined it with the already announced water park.

Last but not least, I'd like to announce the castle I selected for the Magic Kingdom. According to the castle poll so far; 8 votes were cast for Beauty and the Beast's castle, 2 votes for Cinderella's castle, 2 votes for a slightly-revised version of Cinderella's castle, 0 votes for Sleeping Beauty castle, 1 vote for Snow White's castle, and 1 vote for "none of the above". Personally, my first choice all along was Cinderella's Castle. If the 6th park were built in Australia, Cinderella's should be no problem; since Australia is the quite isolated and the farthest distance from the other Disney parks, and so far 3 Sleeping Beauty (if you include Hong Kong) and 2 Cinderella's castles have been built. As for somewhere else; especially if this proposed park were built somewhere in the U.S. or closer to the 3 international Disney parks, I think a new castle should be brought out. For my proposed Disney park, the castle in the Magic Kingdom will be:

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST'S CASTLE I chose this castle, in addition to the poll results, due to the fact that this is probably the most beautiful castle next to Cinderella's, IMHO, and would be the easiest to modify. For example, Snow White's castle, in addition to being plainer than the other castles, has an odd shape to it which would be more difficult to modify-- which is perhaps the reason it was never used in Disney's parks, as well as the reason DL Anaheim's castle (originally to be Snow White's) was designed completely different from the movie.

I plan on making B&TB's castle similar to the castle after its transformation, with a few elements of Cinderella's castle and Sleeping Beauty's castle in Paris (which to me appears to resemble BT&B's castle more than SB's!) Inside the castle will be a Beauty & the Beast dark ride on the lower level, as well as a restaurant on the upper level entitled Belle's Royal Table; which is similar to Cinderella's Royal Table at WDW. BRT also includes a character breakfast in the mornings. IIRC, the breakfast at Cinderella 's is quite difficult to get priority seating for, since it's the most popular character meal at WDW, and the restaurant has only 130 seats; so I'll solve that problem by making Belle's larger--giving it 260 seats-- double the number as CRT at WDW!

Let me know what you think about my decision about the castle and what I did with Paradise Pier-like rides and attractions! I really need your help and feedback about this, so feel free to post! :)

I think it would be cool if you put a giant beach theme park that included paradise pier and then have the water park right next, or attached to it. Like the areas could be SandLand, Paradise Pier, and like other little areas such as Fort Sea Shell, and Palm Tree Island, and The Beach House. or something like that. Just a thought.

Excellent idea, KentB3, the Paradise-Pier idea for the water park works.

But, dont call it a 'water park'. I think this should be something like what the Paramount parks have (Paramount's Carowinds rules all!). They have a theme park and the water park. The water park is included with admission, although this is mainly a theme park. It could be great for people who want to ride the rides but dont want to use the water park. I think it'd be an excellent idea, and one of the first times Disney uses this idea and could even use the idea at new parks. All that needs to be done is a few more attractions should be added. Call the park "Disney's Paradise Pier" or even just "Disney's Boardwalk", as it uses many ideas from boardwalks around the country.

I noticed your mention of Paramount's Carowinds in your reply. Just out of curiosity, where do you live? I live in Greensboro, about a 90 minute drive from Carowinds. It appears that I made the right decision to combine the Paradise Pier thrill ride area with the already-proposed water park! :sohappy:

Disney's Paradise Pier would make an excellent title for this park. So far, here's what I have planned. This park, or Phase 3, will have a very large water ride area (I'd say at least the size of Blizzard Beach, which is 66 acres) which consists of a huge wave pool surrounded by water slides; with a smaller mechanical ride area off to the side of the park, consisting largely of thrill-type rides to intense to fit in the Magic Kingdom. I'll probably add a few more rides and attractions to this area than what I have listed earlier. If anyone else has questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to post your ideas; especially since I really could still use them! :)

Well, I'm actually located only 183.02 miles from WDW in West Palm Beach,FL. But I am in the Carolinas a lot and every time I'm there I have to go to Carowinds. TOP GUN: The Jet Coaster is one of the best coasters in the U.S. if you ask me, and Hurler is a great woodie. Ricochet is the best wild-mouse coaster in the world. And you have to have a Nickelodeon Flying Super Saturator in the park with a Disney theme, it's a lot of fun and you get soaked! I also would like to note that Scooby Doo and The Haunted Mansion is the most cheaply designed ride ever to be built and it is the worst attraction EVER!
