I've brought my dog to a pet-friendly hotel (Hard Rock Hotel, at Universal Orlando) and, based on that experience, I wouldn't do it again.
The hotel was wonderful...the room was odor-free and they had treats and a special water/food bowl for her use. However there were noticable stains on the rugs that looked very urine-shaped.
We left our dog alone in the room for about 6 hours (she is only about 9 lbs and paper trained...so before we left, we spread out newspaper for her in the bathroom and made sure she knew what it was for). When we got back, there was a fresh urine stain the carpet and a message on the phone that our dog was at the front desk...apparently she had started barking and other guests complainted. I don't know if she started barking because of hearing the other guests returning to their rooms, or from hearing the fireworks (which also could have scared her...we assume either that's what caused her to urinate on the carpet, or when the "strangers" went to pick her up), but after that situation, I wouldn't ever consider bringing her to a hotel room again, unless I was going to stay in the room with her the whole time...it's not fair to the dog, it's not fair to the other guests and it's not fair to the hotel, who wound up not only having to take care of her (they were gracious about it but I was still embarrassed and rightly so), but having to spend the extra time to clean up after she wet the carpet.
That event happened a few years ago and I still beat myself up over it. I never should have left her alone in the hotel room and I don't know why I hadn't thought more about it at the time, especially since I know that she tends to be a barker. But all in all, no, I wouldn't recommend pets be allowed at ANY Disney-owned hotel...just WAY too many bad potentials.
