Angry fans were the reason they bought figment back, hey if they can get out of spending the money for a frozen attraction why not, they hate spending money on Epcot

First, no company should ever start catering to the whims of a minority group of fans, no matter how vocal. Second, if only people who started these movements and petitions channeled their passions into something worthy, like helping their fellow man, then just think how much nicer things would be.

Just a quick search of the interweb netted me the above links for failed attempts at fighting "the man". Can we just stop this silliness of petitions? No corporation is going to involve anyone in their plans except MAYBE the board members and stock holders and even then those plans are probably so buried in minutiae that everyone just rubber stamps it on through. These plans were made MONTHS ago and the tumblers have been in motion for quite a while by the time it hits our tender little ears so the possibility of TDO scrapping all of the time, effort and already allocated resources they have into it is really zero.

Do I like Frozen...nope. In fact I think (and have voiced this many times) that overlays are a lazy short term way for the parks to be freshened up by management. But we have to resign ourselves here that we will just have to sit back and see how it all shakes out because a petition is like a mouse screaming at a mountain to move.

I agree! Petition's are getting pointless without that one other key element...... $$$$
Heck, if they did a Kickstarter or Indegogo of fans throwing money at Disney to get attractions refurbished..I wouldn't be surprised..

We do throw money at Disney to refurbish attractions though that's the thing. Entrance into the parks is not cheap by any stretch and then add in dining, lodging and souvenirs and...well, that is where the capital investments funds should come from. As much as I love Disney, especially my memories of what WAS Disney I would find it laughable if someone asked me for money to reopen WOL or if they put a wishing well out in front of an attraction with a sign that read "help us make the parks better".

Sometimes it works; do a search for Hal's Emerald Attack Team sometime. Granted, that took several years and thousands of dollars, dollars that I must point out were spent for the benefit of a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

There are times when petitions work but Disney Corp is not one of them. Too much corporate machine in motion. Add in the fact that to redraw a character really costs nothing but to scrap millions of dollars of plans and contracts that are already in place with outsourced firms would be crushing to that individual parks budget. Once again I have to maintain that we can do nothing but ride the wave even if it is one made up of stinky estuary brackish water!

As the ride is right now, if I have time to kill we go on it. Don't get me wrong, I like it the way it is, I just don't like standing in line for 30 plus minutes to go on a 2 minute ride. So a change may be for the better. Just make it longer.

This ride needs a huge update, something, anything........... The hill at the end is ridiculously small. This ride should be on the level of Splash Mountain.

Now, if they change it to Frozen, that's up to them, not much we can do. We'll just have to wait and see. Might take them 5 years since they are so slow.

Update...now I'm getting a Change.org petition email to help ban keeping tigers in captivity.

Once again....the only online petition I've ever signed was to get a WEIRD AL SUPERBOWL SHOW.

I'd imagine if you get whoever represents the Job's estate (Laurene Powell) to sign, it would have some clout. Other than that- I admire your spunk (but not your use of grammar). Yeesh.

Here is the point. The existing ride is not really anything worth savings. Frozen is really a big deal with kids; no matter if you like it or not. Every little kid I know can sign "Let It Go". If they do nothing else then play that song over and over during the ride the wait line is going to be forever. If I was Disney I would have start this project months ago.

Well, I always say when you don't have any power, you have to delay things, but clearly, it's not going to happen here.

Protests like SaveMrToad and petitions haven't worked well in the past, and I really don't see them working in the future.

I'm expecting them to change the whole ride completely. Wouldn't be surprised if the new update is a bit similar to The Little Mermaid one in New Fantasyland.

It's accomplished blowing up my email inbox with messages from the Fasco-Marxist wing of the Democrats pleading me to support them too. Everything from "Global Warming" to "Legalize Topless Equality".

And the only thing I signed up for was to see Weird Al perform at the Superbowl....

It's legal for women to go topless here in Maine. Not that anyone would ever want to. Far too cold in the winter!
