He was absent shortly after the Christmas version started, and, as you'll hear at the end of this video there is no post-parade announcement (a bi-lingual announcement always plays post-parade whenever a float is missing due top operational circumstances Did something happen to the float that I haven't heard about yet?

I'm unsure... all I have heard in the past is floats are removed periodically for refurbishments/upgrades. But would that warrant an announcement as you reference?

ah maybe that's the reason. I know when Tinkerbell was out during the Covid-era . there was no post-show announcement for that either.

it maybe under regular refurb, it always has been unannounced
