Peter Pan's Flight

Not really. It's always had long wait times, even before the original FP. The problem is capacity and load rate. There are sites showing the schematics of the ride track. It's relatively short and can't accommodate many cars (ok pirate ships) at one time. FP doesn't help the situation but isn't the source of the problem

Ride capacity is certainly a factor but FP magnifies the problem almost exponentially depending on time of day and crowd levels. It is kind of a case that you should not necessarily do something just because you CAN do something. FP is just not a good fit for this ride.

Won't deny that FP+ isn't a good fit. But the ride track is amazingly short, much shorter than one would expect. You can see this on google maps satellite view. The ride building isn't even half the size of either Small World or Haunted Mansion, actually quite a bit less than half. And if you search google images you can come across pictures of the ride track models and track schematics.

So sure, FP may not be a good fit but it's because of how short the ride is and low capacity. It's always had those problems. Disney is basically FPing everything because guests, especially new ones expect them. Right now it's about balancing FPs to standby which they do for every new attraction anyway and they adjust as time goes. But they are having to do that for all attractions in all parks at the same time and I think it has overwhelmed them a bit. Give it at least another year for fine tuning. If it's still bad then we'll know for sure that there is a problem with FP+ on this ride.

It's a mystery why this ride get's the longest wait for a dark ride on both Coasts...I mean the same concept is used on the E.T. Adventure does that even get a long wait?

E.T. never has the waits that Peter Pan usually has... Yet, I'd consider E.T. a lot more entertaining to ride! Even though it's twice as dusty.
