Peter Pan's Flight WDW vs the rest of the world.

Peter Pan is almost perfect in comparison to CBJ, CoP and the Tiki Room at MK. The crowds at MK are huge therefore even shoddy attractions draw enough guests to survive.

In a battle royale between WDW's Peter Pan's Flight versus the rest of the world I'd give the rest of the world a big advantage. First, even if the animatronics on PPF become sentient like American Adventure animatronics did that fateful night in 1998, I'd have to assume that once their number is added to the ranks (I should note this a best case scenario for PPF and extremely unlikely) along with the appropriate cast members they are still outnumbered by about 7 billion. This would be hard to overcome. Plus, some fraction of the rest of the world has access to high tech weaponry which doesn't seem to be present on PPF. In fact, I'm having trouble coming up with a scenario where our beloved dark ride stands much of a chance.

Peter Pan's Flight needs a MAJOR upgrade. Now, its basic storytelling structure is still very effective. But I've seen the Shanghai version online, and it's amazing and we need it HERE in WDW/Disneyland in my opinion. The Shanghai version still has a simple dark-ride vibe, but its use of space for effects is outstanding. In fact, expanding on that idea, I think a Peter Pan/Neverland area would be very very popular with guests. I wish Iger would spend money on something like THAT instead of attractions based on off-studio purchases (nuts to Pandora, I'd rather have Neverland, and I bet most guests would too).

I've always felt that WDW (and until recently Tokyo) had the superior London sequence but that everything else in the DL and DLP rides was better. I think a nice refresh is long overdue; WDW's currently looks tired compared to the others. But I hope they keep the London scene exactly as it is. I've never liked the relative flat emptiness of the other London scenes and can't for the life of me figure out why they changed that in Tokyo.

Also, a snazzy queue does not excuse the ride from a lack of updates. A nice queue can certainly help but people don't get in queues because they're pretty. They only do (and hide) so much. A fantastic queue did not magically make The Little Mermaid a good ride.
