Peter Pan evacuation video

Pretty cool. Was there a date on it? It's clearly pre-Covid (no masks, and girl in BBB attire).

Nice peek behind the curtain though.

It was 16th August 2018. I know because it's my video. My Daughter as my profile pic from that day as proof. :)

Video views took off recently and found out it was linked from here, hello everyone and thank you.

Although an old video, only got to upload it a few months ago as it was shot in 4K and my PC couldn't edit files in 4K, recently upgraded the PC and thought it would be a good test. Never expected it to be as popular. Now have a backlog of 4K Universal Japan and Disneyland Tokyo ones to do now.

From memory, I think we were stuck for around 20 minutes, will have a look at the raw GoPro files when I get home and look at the timestamps.

Anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome to the boards and thanks for taking this video. Where people complaining about the wait and getting impatient, or was it all good natured and calm?

Fascinating. but i don't understand how they exited the ship? that part was not clear

Every so many yards there's a set of stairs at the same height as the ride vehicle. When they stop CM's push the ships with poles to the nearest set of stairs and allow them to then exit the vehicle.

This video on Disney ride evacs explains it with footage starting at the 3:17 mark

Five trips to WDW, and only had one evac (if you want to call it that)-it was Flight Of Passage when it broke down right before the end of the ride, and all the evac consisted of was walking us back around to the front of the line of one of the other theaters. Is it too much to ask to get evac'ed from HM or POTC or something like that, at least once before I'm pushing up daisies? :D

We were evac'd from Men in Black at Universal Studios. The CM's were very adamant about not taking any videos or pictures. I snuck a few, but they were watching us closely. It was a cool experience. We were stuck in our vehicle about 15 minutes, then the lights came on and we were met by cast members to escort us.

I've always wondered whether theme parks that don't want 'backstage areas' appearing online can do anything about it? There's footage on youtube so I wonder whether Disney or Universal have any legal powers or not? I wonder whether Disney have ever contacted youtube to complain about channels like Hoot & Chiefs (R.I.P.), where they go backstage and film?

Everyone was laid back about it, although a few jokes were made about what to do if having to go to the restroom.

Looking at my files, we got on at 20:55 and off at 21:26 (that is camera time GMT, so would have been 15:55 and 16:26 local time) so we were trapped for less than 30 minutes.

It was one of our last days there from memory and we didn't get a chance to ride it again before we went home.

Thanks for that, sounds an experience for you if nothing else. We rarely ride Pan ourselves unless the wait is under 10 mins at the time we pass it (usually after we do IASW), when we do though it's still a fun ride even though it's so old.
