Pet Peeve on Boards

I can't understand people who are rude, sarcastic, and plain ole' mean on these Disney boards. I'm sorry, but it is so . . . . "un-Disney"! Personally, I feel like if you can't say something nice, don't say it all, especially when a Disney neophyte might ask an innocent question, or if anyone else offers a tip or an opinion. That is not to say that people can't be corrected, but there is just a polite way to do it without being rude. If you really love Disney, I don't see any room for anything but kindness and patience, and don't call me Pollyanna.

Wherever you get a group of people there will always be bashers. Especially of the cowardly sort where they don't have to go face to face. I think there has been a spate of late where people post with the sole purpose of annoying others. They get banned then come back with another name.

When you get to know they people here you will find out that the vast majority are a good sort. There are some you will disagree with and one or two you may not hold in high regard - but that's no different from the folk you meet in the real world.

It does not peeve me, but I do find it amusing. Like Trekkies slagging Star Wars fans and vice verca. It's a strange thing that seems to happen to fanatics in all areas of life.

My pet peeves are bad spelling and grammar and people who make nonsensical posts without reading the thread...or people who post a new "will there be a harry potter ride" every 5 days. It just gets aggravating. With some users who repeatedly post like this, there is no other way to go than to be mean about it. It's kind of like when a telemarketer calls and you try to be nice but they don't stop and you just get an airhorn and put it against the receiver :lookaroun

I gotta agree - people who post in text message speak, l337 speak, or just plain don't use punctuation is my biggest pet peeve. My other one is the "no-grey-area" people, such as the ones that DCA gets - it's "all bad" or "all good." Hello, people! There are pros and cons to everything! Nothing is perfectly good or bad, so don't act like it is!

Agreed. That's my number one pet peeve on these boards, along with bad spelling and grammar.

I don't like seeing more topics about Potter and all, but the only ones that show up anymore are from new members, so there's no need to bash them, as they don't know much about those rumors.
