I think Disney is being a bit cocky and perhaps overestimating just how important their precious IP is to most people in the world. I think it's pretty safe to say the vast majority have no Pixar dreams to come true.
It's the opposite. The older generation can't see to comprehend that the current 18-30 demographic grew up with the most ambitious, profitable and critically acclaimed animation movie studio since the mid-90's. This current generation grew up on Pixar, Pixar is to them what Disney was to you.

Not sure why people can't grasp that.

Pixar has a ton of great stuff to offer. None of it is represented here, however.

I enjoyed Disney movies as a kid. But I don't have any Disney dreams I'm just waiting to come true. Just like I'm not dying to live out some Star Wars fantasy or come face to face with my favorite Marvel heroes. I'll watch a movie, either like it, love it, or loathe it. Regardless, I'm going to move on with my life. I really hate how movies and TV shows are supposed to be our entire lives now. I think it's odd when people seem to live and breath entertainment, and I think it's annoying that Disney encourages this. People need to come back down to earth, think for themselves, and get some more hobbies.

I agree, her comment had more to do with the brand than the Pier.

Sure, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who are content with watching Disney movies/visiting Disneyland but don't feel the need to post anonymously online about a theme park spearheaded by a talking rat complaining about hedges and thematic integrity. To each their own, that doesn't devalue the Disney brand however.

Yes
Good comprehensive video (with before and after) from Fresh Baked:

Also look - there's a short shrub beginning to grow at the back of the tallest wall.

I usually rather chew broken glass than sit through a Half Baked video but at least this video had some purpose. The cheap blue fence sucks compared to the charming hedge wall before.
