BLD2020-05279Disney - Confidential ; see correspondence for scope of work

Also this previously confidential signage permit was amended with some wishful thinking.

Considering the time frame, I would think this would be related to removing the Christmas Decorations. Kinda weird that it would be confidential, but maybe that's just part of the new normal.

They have to pretend that they didn't want to reopen their theme park this year.

Because, you know, it's tacky to admit that a business might want to turn a profit.

They didn't bother to put decorations up in their theme parks because they knew they would still be closed. But they did out some up in Downtown Disney (which would still need to be removed).

How's that lawsuit coming?

Anyone else think it’s odd we haven’t seen any permits for DLH DVC yet?

No, a lot of the permissions were granted when the City Council approved the project. Add into that the project is basically a "right" as part of the Disneyland Resort Specific Plan, so there will be building inspections galore, but the project has been approved by the Planning Department already.

Wonder if the attached sign says: "Cancelled."

BLD2020-04801DTD - Buidling DD - Tenant Improvement: 3,871 sq ft to include new full-height wall to separate retail space from existing unoccupied space. Remove and replace existing roof mounted mechanical unit and re-route ducting. With electrical.

From Mouseplanet:

... We missed this building permit, but Disney in November filed to build a new wall to partition off the retail store from the restaurant space inside the vacant former Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. The restaurant had a large gift shop at the entrance, and Disney seems to be looking for a way to open just that section.”

Should have known that @SSG didn’t miss it 😀

Twitter rumor I read said that word is that a galaxys edge outpost store is to go there and the current store in dtd will be avengers themed
Makes sense since the Avenger land is supposed to open this year and would want a more prominent store location. I look forward to seeing if the dirty blankets get moved over to Rainforest Cafe then.

Updated : DTD - BLDG DD - Install (1) illuminated marquee sign and (8) non-illuminated decorative attachments

Also the Asian Street Temp Structure has been removed from in front of the building so something is happening along with the other permit of the Wall being built.
