Perfecting my pool lounging technique...

Every trip we spend a nice amount of time lounging by the pool, soaking in the sun, reading a book or just simply relaxing.
For years I have been practicing, but have yet to perfect my pool lounging technique..
Guess I'll have to keep on practicing.
Do you plan pool time into your trip or is park time too important to waste by the pool?

My Disney time is far too valuable and my boys are commandos so no Disney pool time for me. That being said when I get home I do quite a bit of pool lounging! I do however put aside 1 full day each trip for DTD and the outlets!

I can sit by a pool here in Illinois, but I can't tour the parks. So to me, Park time is the reason I go to WDW. We go commando from open to regular close(not EMH close, the kiddo's still aren't old enough for that). The only pool time we have at WDW is the evening of our AK day or a late nite swim after we are back at the resort after close. We do our relaxing on the beach after the WDW part of the trip is over.

Same here! If I didn't walk by the pool, I wouldn't know it existed. I can't even seem to adequately allocate enough time for DTD. Hmmm....sounds like I may need to start exending my trips by a few days.

We do not plan specific days or times. When we get tired at the park we head back for pool time. We are members of a pool club for swim team. My lounging occurs there because it is as good or better than the resort pools.

I certainly know what you mean! Any good recommendations?
In the building with Fresh A Peel there a selection of goodies there's also a stand out side can't rember the name of it but it's kind by the water just use your instincts I know you'll find it. I was so busy shopping I just came upon them when I got thirsty. Funny story I was with a non-drinking friend at the Museum of Natural History in NY one day and he asked where do you want to start and I said let's hop the elevator and see what the day brings so I hit a random button and when we got off there was an adult beverage stand just waiting for me wait it gets even better same person and another friend, we went to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore so for lunch they were trying to figure where to go and I said let's just go into the mall over there and the same thing happened! I must have good radar!

We typically do pool time every day.. we are there for 11-15 days so we dont feel taking the time to relax takes away from anything.. it makes it feel like a real vacation.

I'm a Floridian. Down here, the sun is just something that we hide from between the car and any given building.
pretty much. as much as I like the concept of laying out, i almost always get fried when i'm out in the sun directly for more than an hour.

aside from that,
Oh yes every trip we do a *pool day*, and when at the Poly, we used to lounge by the quiet pool. Sometimes we would split pork nachos from Captain Cooks and get cocktails from the Barefoot Bar, nosh, sip and relax (or even nap on a few occasions!) Then hit the showers, and head to Epcot for the night :)
this, sounds like a perfect way to spend a vacation day.

It's either the pool or the hot tub... after the parks and any other entertainment is done for the day. Rest those weary bones, sore legs and close those weary eyes and soak in some quiet (sometimes) time. But I'd never give up my park time for pool time.
