Does anyone miss the old Pepper Market at Coronado Springs besides me? The new one is plain Jane QS. We were there just 3 weeks ago with the grandsons and were rather disappointed to see it had changed. The old Pepper Market was unique in spite of the 10% gratuity.

I do. I too think it is now boring and blah. And has a lot less to chose from then it used to have. During my last stay at CSR I had planned on having quite a few meals at the Pepper Market, and ended up eating there only once.

I went in 2012 when it was still a buffet and it was great. My trip last July it wasn't as good and there was issues with service but the selection was ok. Ended up eating breakfast there the most. Has anything else changed in recent months? Also to note the Pepper Market isn't a Disney opperated restaurant, it's sub contracted.

Yes I miss the old PM so, so much. It has basically conformed to the typical Disney cafeteria. Pepper Market still has unique charm but now it looks like any quick service location you'd find at the value/moderate resorts.

Any specifics on what has changed?
Since the buffet has gone, its now back to a serve yourself atmosphere. They did away with all of the servers so the drinks are now self serve like the other quick service restaurants. They moved the registers closer to where the food lines are and removed the ones as you exit the Pepper Market. The food selection has been reduced a bit so they now offer limited items at each station. They also switched the stations around a bit so the dessert is now on the opposite side of the food selection area. As mentioned in previous posts, the changes have made it very plain. I too miss what it used to be.

We enjoyed the Pepper Market at our stay at CS. Too bad it's changed. Yes, it felt odd to have to leave a tip, but on the other hand, it was nice and a good variety. Everyone just meandered and found what they liked and got it. It was very much like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot for those who haven't been, in terms of food variety.
