People trashing the parks

Push, the living statue in EPCOT, the walking vine in AK, these are important details that guests remember. Wish they would come back.
Push was a contractor that decided he wanted a lot more money for his services, and Disney said no. DeVine at AK is still there every day, as she is a CM. Not sure about the living statue, but might have been heat related.

I went to Epcot today and it was pretty clean. I thanked three custodians, the first two who seemed kind of befuddled as to why I credited them with keeping the whole park clean, but the third said he appreciated it. I probably wouldn't have noticed if the place was clean or not except for this thread.

Today, I saw some tourist get up on the stage for Friendship Faire to pose for a picture. I don't get these people and the worse part is that Disney rarely takes action against this behavior, all this doofus got was a stern warning.

Yes, there is a problem. Allow me to modestly propose a simple, effective solution- VIGILANTE MOBS.

You know what I bet would WORK - but I doubt it would be EASY to implement... - if they could incorporate throwing away trash with unlocking a new "Pokemon Go" character. I have no idea HOW - I don't Pokemon, but I think it is interesting.

Ooh, maybe if any Cast Members see it, they can give the guest the new exclusive PUSH the Talking Trash Can card for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.

I also think this is a huge part of the problem. Disney doesn't have the spine to actually do anything about jerks. It's usually just a "if you don't stop, I'll just have to ask you again. Have a magical day!" And unfortunately, like what was brought up earlier, the whole thing is compounded by the I paid thousands for this trip so I just don't care attitude.

Which is why roving vigilantes works so well! Disney gets plausible deniability, and mean people get what's coming to them- WEDGIES.

jeeez...you are all depressing me...just joined this site...heading to WDW for first time in a decade in late August...I never saw so much a speck of paper out of place back then...WDW prided themselves on it...in fact bragged about it...I recall a tv special showing the extremes they went to insure the park was pristine 100% of the time...guess what people have been pigs throughout history...likely WDW has cut staff and such and now we pay more for less...some day it will catch up with them...

I'll be honest. other than the occasional empty cup or plastic bottle, I've never seen anything unusual as far as uncleanliness.
I'm too busy having a good time to notice.

Wait until you get there and form your own opinions. Do not under any circumstances take the word of anyone on these boards for things that are really more opinion then fact. Not even me, so, don't get depressed, go and see for yourself. I think you will be surprised and think... what were they talking about?
