People Mover Question

I was one of the lucky few to ride the Rocket Rods during its two year run.

Does anyone know if the Peoplemover track was always the same length? It was quite a long ride compared tp the Disney World track. Any info would be great!

I rode the Peoplemover in 1998 and it was really long then.

the Peoplemover in DL has always been long, i found it rather enjoyable to ride it, especially for a nice rest (plus you got a good blast of cool air in the tron tunnel). I've heard a rumor that the track was extended a bit for Rocket Rods, but i don't really believe it.

When we went back in 2002 the track link looked the same as it did during our 1998 trip.

There was not enough money in the Peoplemover -> RocketRods budget to increase the length of the track, or add any banked turns.

I think the track has remained the same length since the original Peoplemover was opened. All Rocket Rods did was shorten its life expectancy by about 20 years!
