Yes the page used to be owned by Disney and the link was from the Disney home page.

It was after the opening of DCA that Disney finaly got the last of the strawberry fields its been working on for years before DCA. Disneyland even did an enviro. report on the property which got everyone excited.

Then the news of DCA not doing so well, and the Pointe Anahiem (same peeps that own Point Orlando)(non-Disney) project getting the green light and stalling out, (they have demoed the Melodyland but, thats it.

See Downtown Disney was to go where the Pointe Anahiem project is but Disney didnt want to spend $$$ so they said no. Too bad cause the ability to connect to the third park would have been so much easier.

When Disney starts to build the parking structure in the PUMBA Pk LOt then you can expect to see an announcement. The other problem is that the main Cast parking is on the Third Park land that Disney owns. They would have to move the Cast parking.

Point Anahiem is located on the corner of Harbor and Disney Way and goes East.

The third park covers a wierd area...You can see the Disney areas on the corner of Harbor and Katela and travel South on Harbor towards the Conv. Center. its on the left.

The pumba parking lot is located off of Disney Way...The old Grand Hotel that Disney bought before they started construction of DCA.

As for a water park....it gets too cold during the winter months...

Besides with 5 water parks with a 2-3 hours drive(Im including the Knotts parks in Palm Springs and San Diego) I dont think Disney would do it.

The other parks shut down for the 6mths till spring. No $$, not an option...I have heard of making it indoors??? and have heard they might bring Pro golf, but thats a rummor.

I have no info on this.... This all coming from the official Disney career site, but I do know they have room, about 80 acres....But I don't know where

Disneyland was 80 acres originally-- until Mickey's Toontown opened, which expanded DL to 87 acres.

Hopefully, they can come up with something quite creative! :)

Anyone remember WestCOT?

About ten years ago, there was talk of building an EPCOT clone entitled WestCOT on Disneyland property. Would anyone know the reasons this never came about?

Well, perhaps they never were able to figure out the problems with getting more land with the city? By the time Anehim and Disney came to the agreement to let them build a bigger resort...well....we got DCA...

I was talking of an EXTRA 80 acres.

I know all about the Disneyland size.
