hey everyone, sorry if someone has already asked this but when we are able to reserve the restaurants we would like to visit during our stay, it says that a deposit will be taken, does anyone know if you have to usethe same card when you are paying for the meal? and i think it also says credit card, does that mean it wont let you book them with a debit card?

You can use a debit card just as you would use a credit card. There are benefits to using a credit card such as fraud protection that you may not receive with a debit card. Also, you do not need to use the same card for actual purchase. They simply "ping" whatever card you use for deposit purchases to verify it is real and can actually cover expenses.

Only very few ADRs take a deposit, so you must have an ADR to V&A or comparable. The deposit is only to hold it. I can't imagine their saying the rest has to be on the same card.

There are quite a few (if not all) restaurants requiring a card number these days.
