Paying trip off - Stressfull?

Curious if others get stressed out about paying their trips off. Once my trip is booked, I feel as though I have to get it paid off ASAP. We just booked Disneyland last week for April, and I've called to make a few payments and each time the CM says "This doesn't have to be paid until you check in." I can't do that. I have to get it paid for immediately.

Other than the required deposit, we never give Disney any other money until the last possible moment. If we are making payments to ourselves, or have already saved the necessary amount, we are the ones earning interest (such as it is) on our money. Why let Disney earn the interest.

Definitely! The school tax bill and DVC dues are due two weeks after our trip, so making sure we are good to cover everything involves some jockeying. Now that we get room only deals the balance isn't due till you arrive, which can be more annoying, whereas with package deals you could pay them off a little at a time and were set to go 45 days out. Once we get there you feel better, but then there's always that next credit card statement waiting for you ;) We could stay home, but the time of our life is waiting and luckily we can swing it every year.
