Does anyone else think that the whole of Fantasyland needs repaving?

Where the old and new meet it kinda clashes as well as in photos for the FLE, the walkways look really dirty despite being new o_O

Ok here is my justification. Imagine we are truly at Cinderella's Castle the new turrets and walls are the borders of her Bailey (enclosed area around the Castle) are kept up better than on the outside of the borders. This "outside" area is the Enchanted forests were Regality and civilizations have not taken hold and therefore are "dirtier" than the Castle area. That being said the transition would be right at the walls

I was thinking the same thing actually.

I think the point is to have the paths in the forest and village appear as though they aren't paved at all. I haven't seen beauty and the beast in years but I certainly don't recall Belle prancing around on blacktop. ;)I think the paths looks fantastic and really add to the natural and rustic feeling of the area.

Keep in mind that they're not finished yet. Paving or resealing/repainting the existing pavement may still be in the cards.

Are you talking about the forest or the courtyard?

I would love for the courtyard to get a different kind of pavement than the one we have right now.

Both :)

The old side with cracked faded pink concrete looks old and needs to replaced by cobbled stone I feel and the FLE side needs to be cleaned or touched up as it looks really dirty.

The main problem though I feel is where the two sections meet. It just clashes and doesn't look very good.

That's the point. You're in a forest. Of course the paving reflects that by looking like a dirt road.

Yeah, as everybody has already said, it's supposed to look old and dirty as it's supposed to be a dirt road. I for one think it looks phenomenal.

But I agree about the courtyard pavement.

I think the new forest pavements look pretty. I also rather like the current red/pink pavement in the original areas. It makes the buildings look good.

Cobblestones could be pretty. But one can also overtheme an area. The MK might end up looking like DAK, where they took theming one step too far. A Disney park is magical where it is a Disney idealisation of reality, not a recreation of reality.

I definitely noticed, too. I was walking from the forest into the castle courtyard and told my boyfriend how ugly and plain the pink pavement looks now, in comparison to the new stuff. I know they've been working on repaving the land section by small section, but it's just all been new pink concrete. And the new pink concrete makes the old pink concrete look dirty and faded. :/
