This might seem like an obvious question, but do you have to have an annual pass to use this code?

Yes, and even though the annual pass is expensive, if you plan to spend ten days in the parks in a given year, its worth it. Not only to you get discounts on room rates (up to 45% reportedly during certain times of the year) you also get other discounts at different reseraunts and retail places in the parks. My wife an I are going in October 2005 and getting the annual pass as we are going to be there for two weeks. After the first week, both sets of grandparents are coming down and bringing our kids. We will be able to get a discount rate on our rooms and the grandparents rooms because of our AP. Then my wife and I will go back sometime in 2006 and all we will have to pay for is transportation and discounted lodging.

Its a good deal if you spend any serious amount of time at WDW.....

I thought the breakeven point for the regular Annual Pass is 8 days? It may be 10 for the Premium Annual Pass though. Belle

This is very likely correct. I was doing quick arithmatic in my head and was likely off some......thanks for the correction.. have some rep points!!!!!

if my math is incorrect which it usually is lets say your going on a trip for 2 for 7 days, it would almost be worth it for 1 of your to buy an AP for the hotel discount. or desnt that work out to be cheaper?

Obviously this doesn't apply if you're staying onsite, but my math showed the break even point is 7 days staying offsite because of the free parking.

Cheers.

I wasnt even factoring in either the free parking or the hotel discounts for the Annual Pass. At just slightly over $400.00 the last time I priced it ( this is for the regular AP not the premium) for me the AP is a no brainer. When 2004 is over I will have been in one park or anther for 24 days this year!!!!!! At over $50 a park per day, I definitely got my money's worth!!!!!!! And that isnt factoring in the amount of money i saved with about a 40% discount on all of the resort stays that I booked!!!! Definitely a good deal for me!!!!! Belle
P.S. Hey Hakuna thanks for the rep points!!!!

The break even point varies HUGELY.

We got Yacht Club for a savings of over 325/night plus tax.

Rack Rate 525 I believe, we are WAY lower.

Thank you AP.

So, in short, our breakeven point was only a couple days. :xmas:

We just called and they're telling us all they've got at the Contemporary and Wildy are junior suites for 1/6-1/14. I find that a little hard to believe. When my dad gets home he is going to call. We already have a ressie, but we want to use AP discount.

I just called my travel agent on this. I'm going down February 4-11. She's calling to see if she can get me that rate as I have an Annual Pass.

On mousesavers.com, it says that these rates for check-in on the weekend will be very limited or non-existent.

I will be REALLY agitated if that is the case. Ben there for 9 vacations, going back in February for a week, then going in August for 9 nights for my honeymon. Not to sound complaining, but I think I've paid my Disney dues. They can do me one here.

I got my rate!!!!!

I'm so psyched. Originally, my 7 night stay at Pop Century was gonna run me over $600. I'd already paid $300 off. With the AP rate, it brought the price down to $382!!! That's so awesome!!!!

My annual pass has ALREADY paid for itself, and I've already spent 9 days in the parks, going for 8 more in February, and 10 more in August.

I lucked out as well. Pam got me AP rates for a Polynesian Garden View. So very happy! The Poly is really out of our range in terms of what we really should do with our money and this makes it so much easier to swallow. Plus but gettin the AP it will make it that much easier to convince ourselves to go again within the next year even though our plan was to maybe not do that.

Thanks again for starting the thread! :)
