Im pretty sure its a one finger point bc Walt has no regard for the feelings of people from other cultures. I never met the guy but I would imagine hes pretty old-school and wouldnt do the 2 finger point even if made aware of it. Im also pretty sure Disney started the 2-finger point and then later on other cultures adopted it as less offensive, just like how the european nations are modeled after the world showcase in Epcot.

If you are referring to my post there really was no way to post the info without saying it like it was said in the guide and I clearly stated the info was from the book.

No, not at all. I just didn't want it to sound like I was pointing fingers at anyone. But if I was pointing it would be with 2 fingers LOL :D

I think you stated your source very well.

Although i'm not a big fan of the Podcast, I did catch Episode 107 of Inside the Magic and they talk about Blaine Gibson who sculpted "Partners". Its funny, I just listened to it again because I remembered them talking about the statue and the guy thats talking about it directly quotes word for word a couple different sources including this page on the Disney Legends site...http://legends.disney.go.com/legends/detail?key=Blaine+Gibson

So did he say the story was created after the statues were built? haha! It's like which came first the chicken or the egg.

Did you know that Walt was made taller in the statue than in real life? Nice little bit of trivia.

I have to agree, no matter what the story, the statue is beautiful and it all touches us.

Did you know the human head weighs 10 pounds?
